I have been attending classes 2-3 days a week at Raleigh’s Body & Brain Yoga since the fall of 2025. I have also been practicing Qigong and Tai Chi for decades, and never have I experienced the deep physical and spiritual openings like I have with each session here. Susan is a gentle and masterful teacher, who makes you feel like she is guiding you personally through the stretches, movements and meditation.

I’m truly grateful for discovering Body & Brain here in Raleigh. Starting Qigong has opened a completely new way for me to care for my body, my mind, and my overall well-being. I’ve learned how to ground myself, regulate my emotions, be more present, and reduce stress in a way that aligns with my values. A great example: on a recent Sunday at 2 p.m., right when class started, my Oura Ring showed my stress levels dropping all the way down into the “restored” zone. Brain and Body Tai Chi and Yoga, Raleigh, is the exercise center I have been looking for my whole adult life without even knowing it. The second I finished my first introductory class, I signed up for a whole year! Two weeks later, my husband joined as well! The classes are simultaneously strengthening for your body while calming and centering for your mind. Unlike most exercise classes which I have to push myself to go to, I love doing them and try to get to as many as possible. Plus, I’ve stopped going to physical therapy because my B&B classes have been so healing and restorative and focus on much of what I was doing in PT. Susan, Ji-Mo, the owner/instructor is a perfect combination of knowledgeable, caring, motivating and challenging and the class community is a wonderful combination of all ages and walks of life yet with the common goal of mental and physical health and wellness. I am so incredibly grateful to have found the Raleigh Body and Brain center and know it’s going to part of mine and my husband’s lives well into our future.
