Went here Friday night with my boyfriend and another couple, and the experience was awful from start to finish. We were seated next to a large party that arrived *after* us, yet we watched our server give them constant attention while barely acknowledging our table. We asked for water multiple times and never received refills until reminding twice. He didn’t even come by to check on us until after the first complaint to management. What made it more frustrating was that the place wasn’t busy at all, and we were sitting right next to the party he was catering to nonstop. Eventually, my friend had to track him down just to ask where our food was and it wasn’t until then that he entered the order. We placed our order well before 8 PM, but it wasn’t sent to the kitchen until 8:46 PM (confirmed by the manager). Instead of being honest and admitting he forgot, our server kept giving excuses about “kitchen delays.” He acted as if we were in the wrong for inquiring and he threw his hands up and smirked at one point when we were watching her while she asked him about the status of the food. We were told 5 more minutes after asking for the 3rd time and it still took about 20 more minutes. Our drinks were sitting at the bar the entire time. When we asked about them, he casually said, “Oh yeah, I have that at the bar for you.” At that point, patience was gone. Not to mention that once we got the drinks, we got no straws. My friend went to grab some and brought them back, he comes over and says “By the way, these need to have black straws because they’re margaritas, but I won’t make you guys get up to get them.” You’re the server, right? We don’t work here to know what’s needed for what drinks. This was our first time here! Just very weird, passive-aggressive behavior all night. The manager was initially unhelpful and simply said, “I’ll talk to him, and if it’s not corrected, let me know.” It was not corrected. On top of everything, our lane stopped working before our game ended. We called for assistance, no one came, and we eventually gave up and left. We stopped at the front desk to express how dissatisfied we were. The manager did comp the food and drinks, but the food wasn’t good anyway. The pizza was lukewarm despite being described as “freshly made.” Honestly, comping it didn’t feel like enough, especially considering how poorly the situation was handled. It felt like the manager was doing us a favor rather than taking responsibility. We spent about $60, and it was absolutely not worth it. I’ve worked in management before, and this was not handled the way it should have been. I’m even considering disputing the charge with my bank. Overall, a very disappointing experience, and I won’t be returning. Update: Contact corporate with no response. Notice how they responded to every other review except mine! I will be disputing.
I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the experience I had at your facility this past Saturday. I purchased two bowling lanes—Lane 33 for adults and Lane 34 for children. Less than six minutes before my guests arrived, I was informed that one of my lanes had been given away. When I returned to the front desk to ask why my reserved lane was taken, I was told that I needed more than seven players in order to purchase two lanes. This was extremely frustrating, as I had already been allowed to purchase and pay for both lanes with no issue or warning beforehand. It was unfair to change the policy after the fact and after my reservation had already been made. To make matters worse, approximately ten minutes later, the guests who were given my lane began experiencing malfunctions and were moved to a different lane. I had been reporting the exact same issues with my lane (Lane 33) repeatedly, yet we were never offered a lane change. Instead, we were forced to remain on the malfunctioning lane. We were unable to complete a single game without having to walk back to the desk to request that the lane be reset. This happened multiple times and completely disrupted our experience. The children were very unhappy, and so was I. What was supposed to be an enjoyable outing turned into a frustrating and disappointing experience. Overall, I feel that my money was wasted due to poor customer service, lack of communication, and unresolved equipment issues. I believe this situation could have been handled much better, especially considering the impact it had on the children. I would appreciate someone reaching out to address this matter and discuss possible resolution.
It's a fun environment. They seem like they don't want to ruin anyone's good time. I really like this place a lot. Just know that there's security at the front entrance with metal detectors on Friday and Saturdays not sure about Sunday so the only way u can come in is thru the front entrance and not the sides so if u go out one of the side doors u can only exit but as long as u don't mind walking back around to the front you'll probably have a good time.. This is a fun, friendly & fairly well priced bowling center in Garland, Tx. The leagues do provide benefits of free practice times, socialization and are run by 2 or 3 incredible older members of our community. These folks are well respected & loved. For families or groups of multiples, Mon. nights offer unlimited bowling for around $18. That includes your shoe & equipment rental guys & gals! Plus the maintenance of the back end of the pin setters, ball returns, alley ways & so much more.
Had an awesome experience at the Bolero in Garland, Texas. Our server, Jack, took care of us from start to finish and really made the night smooth and enjoyable. As a mechanic at a Bolero in Edmond, Oklahoma, I see the behind-the-scenes side of this business every day — so when someone delivers truly great service, it stands out. Jack stayed on top of everything, checked in at the right times, and handled the busy crowd like a pro. With this center rocking 58 lanes, that’s no small task.
