We had a great experience! We've been tubing in several locations but had previously avoided kayaking or canoeing for health reasons. Our first kayak trip was a complete success. The only mistake we made was waiting to start our adventure at 1 PM; I recommend beginning earlier if you plan to mostly relax and float. We did the lower float and are looking forward to trying the upper float next time, especially after a bit more rain. I highly recommend these outfitters as the staff was friendly and great to work with!

Great place to float the Flint River. They provide the kayaks or canoes you need to enjoy the Flint or if you have your own they can still shuttle you to or from your vehicle too. Great and friendly service, definitely will be going back here

I was there with my family. We are experienced, and do not need brown bear.We see them often and things seem to be okay. But today I was trying to get my boat out of the water and I had a little boy asked me from brown bear.Could I please just move so he could get he is people because he runs a business. This place is unprofessional. I had my family there.I didn't ask brown bear, but I don't need them to feel like them pushing me off the water. They don't own the water. Just. Now if you are a single entity you will run into problems trying to get on the flint river
Strange But Unique
This place has always been absolutely amazing, me and my dad have been going here for 3 years and it's always the best bonding time, whether it's speeding down mini rapids or floating-about and relaxing. The kayaks are amazing and so are the prices. Everyone who works here is so sweet and chill.

This was really fun although we (my husband and I) were beginners we got the hang of it. Pros: it’s relaxing, beautiful scenery, and I would do it again. Cons: they don’t give you any instruction (how to kayak)on how you get to the end of the 3 hour kayak experience ride back down the river, they just drop you off with the kayaks and you have to figure it out. Overall it was fun and an experience. You may see some animal, snakes, otters, beavers etc.
