Genesis at the front desk was incredibly kind and helpful. She took time out of her day to help me locate the owner of a cat I found lost in the neighborhood, which truly meant a lot to me. The building is also absolutely adorable. I will definitely be bringing my own cats here!
The staff is excellent and responsive. We heard excellent things about this vet and have had every good thing we heard confirmed. We primarily see Dr. Perrault for our 2 large breed dogs. He is thorough and conscientious. He cares. He relentlessly tries to figure out tougher to diagnose issues, and has all but cured my 13 year old large breed dog of chronic pancreatitis using some out of the box thinking. As our 12 year old German shepherd is heading towards the end of his life, Dr Perrault called us directly in his off time to discuss options for quality versus quantity of life. I was touched by this use of his free time. We have also had experience with 2 of the other vets at Cats and Dogs, and both were also fantastic. Can’t recommend this location enough!
I wish I had never gone to cats & dogs, they are rude and they only care how much money they can rip you off for. They create issues to find an excuse to do tests so they bill more. Make sure they don’t know if you have insurance. I was convinced my dog needed X-ray of her teeth & neck(costing $2500). I was told she has a baseball size tumor in her neck diagnosed by the doctor. He took a biopsy of this imaginary tumor which was obviously not cancer because there was no tumor. I like to know what exactly biopsy. I was told it was really hard to get a piece for biopsy. Poor my dog. Not only my dog went through hell for 2-3 days but also I was worried sick until I got the result of biopsy. I was told x ray doesn’t show everything & we need to do a MRI. we were referred to get an MRI. Doctor was sure my dog has a tumor. I had to get a MRI/CT scan costing additional $2700. Luckily both X ray and CT scan results were negative but my dog had to be sedated and incubated twice costing over $5k for NO REASON, since they knew I had insurance they created unnecessary complications to be able to charge me. I will never go back to this place. If you care for your dog don’t go to cats & dogs for anything. I went through hell and back thinking my dog has a huge tumor and if she has cancer. GO ANYWHERE DO NOT GO TO CATS & DOGS. What is amazing is while I was out of country and my daughter who was taking care of Baanou(my dog) told me doctor didn’t want to see her because I had left a bad review. Think about it. A dog who was in need of help wasn’t seen because I had left a bad review but this action shows what type of a person should reject a patient because their owner left an honest review of his services. Anyway. We will find one and we will find one who cares. He only cares about money
The staff are incredible. The office is nice and clean. We had to say goodbye to our cat last year and the staff were so nice while giving us time to grieve. They explained the process and treated our cat with dignity through his last moments. I will never forget the kindness and professionalism of the staff during that traumatic time. I take my other cat there and they are super friendly to me and her. I will highly recommend them for pet care!!
Dr Smith and her team are incredible. They truly treat our pets like family and I am so grateful to have found them. From starting the care process with our new kitties, to wonderfully caring for our high needs first cat - Dr Smith and her team have earned an immense amount of trust with our furry family. Thank you!!!!
