I loved this shop! It was my first time and it seemed to be the only one of its kind open on Sunday. Each seller has their own style, yet they all compliment to make a very dynamic place to spend some of a day off. Mostly vintage but what is super special is some of the original art....seems like they score some interesting lots. They let me take pics of things I may want to come back for. Customer service was incredible and I actually had a very meaningful conversation with Chris, whi was running the show. Very knowledgeable. Ill be back for sure!
Seems fine. As an outsider to the Twin Cities, I'm going to say that what people say is "rude" here is called "direct communication" and "setting boundaries" elsewhere. No, you cannot do whatever you want even if you're nice about it. Anyway, we bought some cool old postcards, some old cat figurines, a record, and some other trinkets. Very fun place to be, especially if you get there alone and are willing to not act like you own the place.
Came in with my girlfriend and we browsed for quite some time. Owner was very kind to both of us, helping my girlfriend find the dressing room (she got a very cute quilted skirt), and chatting to us about embroidery. I bought a stack of reasonably priced metal CDs that I was very excited to find. Chatted with both people that were working. I am curious about how different of an experience the negatives reviewers had, because mine was incredibly positive. Will be coming back.
The owner was extremely rude. I’ve always wanted to stop in because I saw interesting things in the window but the shop was always closed even when it said it was open. When I finally got to go into the store the owner watched me like she assumed I would steal. My friend asked about an item he was interested in but was damaged a bit so he was wondering if that was the price considering the damage to it. She said “I don’t do that here.” I was confused at first and realized she meant bartering. He said he was going to pass on the item and was going to leave it with her at the front but she yelled at him to put it back. Store is a huge cluttered mess so we put it back where we thought it went and she yelled more that we put it in the wrong spot while she sat at the front and refused to move and point and kept trying to make us put it in a different spot. The lady she helped before who was white, she was super nice to. I have to assume she doesn’t like people of color. I bought something small because I assumed maybe she was just having a bad day but she was still rude during the entire interaction. The phone rang and she went back to being “nice” to them on the phone. When I got home I realized my item was damaged but I have no interest in going back and speaking with her as it was all so unpleasant. All the items are priced extremely high for the quality of the items and most if not everything is damaged.
First off, the name is fantastic! Records, vintage photos, antique glass wear, clothing, jewelry and fun salt shakers, statues... omg I love this place!
