Booked for 3 nights over Christmas. Arrival was welcoming, nice touch with a Christmas stocking filled. Unfortunately, Christmas lunch was a disaster, starter was good, main was terrible, roast potatoes weren't cooked, neither was parsnips or sprouts. Rest of lunch was just warm. Dessert was nice. The length of time between courses was ridiculous. We were booked for 1.30pm, we were still waiting for our desserts at 3.30pm. Breakfasts were bearable, no butter, ran out of bread, and coffee. Overall a very disappointing visit to Chevin country park hotel, although the setting is beautiful, and the staff are very friendly and accommodating as they can be. Would not come again.
