I contacted Cole Electric for a quote on several electrical jobs at my home. During the initial visit, the technician (Mason) broke the metal sleeve on one of our pendant light fixtures while inspecting the bulb. He casually suggested it could be glued back and concluded the inspection. After discussing with my wife, we decided not to proceed and informed the company of our concerns. The owner called back and rather than addressing the issue, attempted to shift blame by claiming the technician had offered to repair the damage with super glue, which is inaccurate. At no point did I decline such an offer. This lack of accountability and professionalism was concerning, and I am relieved that we chose not to proceed with their services. I would not recommend Cole Electric based on this experience. RESPONSE TO OWNER: Thank you very much for taking the time to provide your perspective. However, your response is based on an inaccurate account of the incident as described by your technician. For the record, I did not grant your technician, Mason, permission to handle the pendant light. Mason inquired as to the type of bulb in use; I informed him it was LED. He then unilaterally chose to manipulate the pendant fixture, twisting it out of position, leaving it askew, and ultimately breaking the threaded metal sleeve from the glass globe covering the bulb. The pendant was fully intact prior to his inspection. Upon forcibly removing the glass globe, the LED bulb dislodged and fell inside. Despite my instruction to pause while I retrieved a telescopic magnetic tool to safely extract the bulb, Mason and his assistant continued to attempt removal using their hands, resulting in further damage: the metal threading was ripped out, and the edges of the glass globe were chipped as they tried to jam the sleeve back in place. At no point did your technician offer to repair the fixture; I was simply told the metal sleeve “could be glued back on” to the glass globe. To suggest otherwise is false. My concerns extend beyond the physical damage. Of equal significance is your company’s response: rather than accept responsibility, you attempted to shift blame and relied on a factually inaccurate account provided by your employees. This raises serious concerns about both internal accountability and the manner in which customer grievances are handled. If this is the approach for a relatively minor incident, I am left to question how your company would respond to a more substantial issue. I encourage prospective clients to review other negative feedback and determine if my experience is, in fact, isolated or part of a broader pattern.
The whole team was exceptional from scheduling and quote, to punctuality and close out. Brandi was a delight to have as the first impression when calling for service! Carter and his team were very professional and explained/educated me on all things electrical. Even provided feedback on foreseeable future repairs. They are a little pricey - but you definitely get what you pay for. Your time and trusting someone to be honest with you is always priceless. Will use them for future repairs and upgrades.
