Dance Loft has such a warm community of dancers! I'm returning to ballet in my 20's after taking a long break from it. This studio has such a welcoming environment for returning dancers to learn without judgement. I took Elizabeth's class this past spring and her class was such a joy to be part of. I'm also taking the ballet summer intensive, which has been a wonderful experience so far.

Dance Loft on 14th, and specifically Elizabeth, has created such a welcoming environment. I have tried to return to ballet/dance at several other studios over the past few years, but Liz’s class is the only one that I stuck with. I think this has to do with the feeling of building a community at Dance Loft. I also felt myself improving each week, and I am excited to continue my ballet journey this summer and next fall!

I enrolled my toddler daughter in the fall session so that she could have her first taste of dancing in the nutcracker. The adult dancers were beautiful… but the experience for the young dancers - Terrible! There were only 3 practices dedicated to the actual show, so all the children (my daughter included), were ill-prepared on performance day. Then we were required to rent her costume (a plain leotard… literally a leotard), for $125! And we didn’t find out it was a rental fee until the day of the show. Additionally, other child dancers were missing parts to their uniform (e.g., a soldier without a hat) or costumes were ill-fitting on performance day, because the studio failed to do inventory or order new costumes (they simply recycled uniforms from last year, yet still charged the $125 fee). For the second performance, I decided to stay backstage with my daughter. It was poorly supervised, and there were very few adults there to keep the young children from running around. Overall, the youth program felt thrown together at the last minute… Very disappointing!

Was a tough process getting the room but we enjoyed the studio space and the sound system. Our participants also gave compliments about the room
