I cannot recommend District Vet Navy Yard enough! Dr. Warshawsky and Dr. London are both phenomenal veterinarians who truly excel at what they do. They’re incredibly personable and so gentle with my cats — my smaller one was pretty sick and was actually purring during his exam with Dr. London. When my little cat needed a diagnosis, both doctors approached it with the perfect balance of urgency and thoughtfulness. They took the necessary precautions while being mindful of cost, working through things step by step so we could get answers without breaking the bank. As pet parents, we all want our animals happy and healthy, and being able to achieve that without financial stress makes such a difference. And an equally big shoutout to the vet techs, they’re all so wonderful with the animals, not just mine but every pet I see them interact with in the lobby. Taylor is one of our favorites! The entire team makes you feel like you and your pet truly matter. It never feels cold, clinical, or transactional which I’ve experienced at most other vet clinics. When I received some potentially difficult news about my cat, the bedside manner was everything I could ask for. The communication was clear and transparent without being alarmist, with a calm, step-by-step approach to ruling things out and plans laid out for each potential outcome. I also really appreciate that the doctors and techs are patient when I ask them to repeat information or clarify things — I sometimes have trouble retaining verbal information, especially when stressed, and they’ve never once made me feel like a burden. That patience goes a long way in removing stress during an already worrying time. As a millennial, I’m allergic to phone calls so I’m throwing extra points on the board for the new online booking system!
This visit was our first time meeting Dr. Tonic, and she was amazing and kind. I love just about everything about District Vet - Navy Yard. The fees are high, but the service and care are worth it. Our dog loves the treats and the staff. #TheyAreStuckWithUs
The entire staff is 100+% committed to pet care and owner peace of mind. They are very responsive in the most timely manner possible. I've lived in the District since 1978 [47years] and District Vet ranks at the very top of all the vets I"ve used. Highly recommended without any reservations.
After a not so great experience at another Vet place. I found District Veterinary in Navy Yard and from the moment I called to schedule an appointment and inquire about initial exam fee to every encounter since I knew I made the right choice in bringing my cat here. The care, attention and love they showed Onyx (my cat) spoke volumes to me. I could tell they actually cared for his well being and weren’t just feeding me exams to charge me more. For context, Onyx hates being carried and I could not believe he was the same cat allowing the nurse to cuddle him and carry him out the room with him in arms to take his bloodwork. Animals instinctively know good ppl and who to trust. It was enough for me to also trust them (as well as to be a bit jealous). I returned a fews days later to pick up a refill and the minute I walked in the receptionist immediately recognized me and confirmed it was for Onyx. I can’t imagine the number of pets they see a day, something as simple as remembering who I was and my pet's name showed how much they care for each patient. Can’t say enough good things about Dr. Walker and the time and patience she took to explain everything to me and email me personally with Onyx exam results. Safe to say I found my babies Vet, as I will be coming here for all of their needs in the future. Thank you all again!
District Vet Hospital has been the best vet experience that I’ve had! Everyone was so friendly and kind to both me and my babies. They handled my cats with care and love. The vet was responsive and so helpful with getting my kitties ready for our overseas move. The process was daunting but it was reassuring to have a knowledgeable, professional and compassionate vet to help us out. I am very grateful for Navy Yard vet hospital and I recommend it to everyone and their fur babies 🩷🐱.
