We are so grateful to have discovered Dogboy!! We have been working with Rob on training our puppy for the past few months and he has been an invaluable resource and source of support! She is our first puppy and Rob's deep knowledge and experience has been an absolute guiding light for us! Training sessions with Rob have been amazing because he gets to know your dog and your specific household and routine, and works directly on customized goals and concerns that you might have with your pup. He also makes really helpful suggestions on general training and useful behaviors to work on and points you to resources on anything you might need to learn more about. He also uses parts of training sessions to help teach us how to train her better at home as well or continue practicing what she has learned more effectively. Rob has also been so generous with his time for questions, concerns, and general tips even between training sessions to support us as she grows and we encounter new things!! We couldn't recommend him and Dogboy more highly.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about DOGBOY NYC and its founder, Robert Haussmann. We have known and worked with Rob for over 15 years, and he has trained both our very first dog, Maddy, and now our new boy, Travis (who turns two in January). Rob is, quite simply, the very best. Rob has an incredible ability to understand dogs and their people. His training is thoughtful, effective, and grounded in real-life situations. He offers excellent group classes—everything from puppy school to agility—and they are always well-structured, supportive, and fun. Beyond classes, what truly sets Rob apart is his commitment to his clients. He makes himself available by phone and text, and he genuinely cares about how things are going once you’re back home with your dog. Another standout is Rob’s follow-up. He sends clear, specific training videos that reinforce what you’ve learned and help guide both you and your pup between sessions. Those resources have been invaluable to us over the years. And a huge shout-out to Rob’s wife, Kim Haussmann, who is also fantastic. Kim handles scheduling and billing seamlessly, and she is always kind, responsive, and genuinely loving toward both clients and dogs. DOGBOY NYC isn’t just dog training—it’s a long-term partnership built on trust, expertise, and heart. We feel incredibly lucky to have worked with Rob and Kim for so many years, and we recommend them without hesitation to anyone looking for exceptional dog training.

Jenny is an amazing dog trainer. We work with her for our boy Sonny (a wired hair pointing griffon). We actually initially met her on the street when we were working with a different trainer and I said to my boyfriend “one day I want to work with her. She seems like she’d be great with Sonny”. Boy was I right! Jenny knows all the neighborhood dogs, including another griff! She has helped us so much with Sonny’s upbringing including recall training, basic commands and overall behavioral skills. Not only is Jenny helpful during our sessions, but she is extremely reponsive via email if we ask questions and she always sends follow up information recapping our sessions. Lastly, Jenny is an amazing resource. Even the other day, I had a griffon related question and I asked if she could get permission to put me in touch with another griffon mom which was super super helpful. Jenny is an amazing trainer but also she is awesome with Sonny’s breed. She gets to know each dog she works with but also she learns more about their breed, their quirks and their needs. I highly recommend Jenny to anyone raising a puppy or looking to fine tune behavior!

I cannot say enough great things about Jenny Lee and Dogboy NYC. We met a couple other trainers for our new pup, Bosun, before meeting Jenny, and it felt like the perfect fit from the start. Jenny’s experience and patience is first class. Bosun took notice and responded quickly to the instruction Jenny provided. If you are looking for a trainer for your new or old pupper, Jenny is the whole vibe.

We worked with Jenny for puppy training after our best friends recommended her — they had a great experience working with her for their golden retriever puppy a month prior. Jenny was responsive to our specific concerns (eg barking when separated) and had my husband and I practice specific exercises after she showed us / discussed the nuances. We did two sessions (spaced apart about a month, first when he was 3 months and then 4 months old) to supplement the training I’d been doing based on online courses. No amount of online training or Reddit forums compares to having a trained behaviorist like Jenny in your home. Our mini long-haired dachshund is now 9 months and we still use the techniques she taught us - we couldn’t be happier with her services!
