We absolutely love this spot! Super clean facility, the water is always nice and warm. And most importantly the coaches and managers have all been fantastIc! Very kind and supportive. John, Bella, Reilly and Isaiah, all awesome!!
We've been with Emler for about a year and had some amazing coaches. Specifically, Sammi, Jade and Isaiah. My son started swim lessons here when he was still unwilling to put his face in the water. . During the first few levels, there are regularly team managers (These used to be great coaches that got promoted) who would watch the classes or they would be walking around and they will pop in and take a kid who was having trouble or a kid who look like they were ready to move on and pull them aside and work with them. Jade specifically worked with my son and got him putting his face in the water in a few lessons. And while he was moving along, Sammi during one lesson while co-coaching with one of the new coaches, noticed that my boy was maybe not needing floats anymore, took him from a big waist float and 4 arm rings to 1 small float and then to nothing within one lesson. It is very clear that the school works as one. It's not just up to the coach but the team managers and Jon the general manager too watches every lesson and are always around to speak to parents. The pool is heated and the whole pool area is heated. Abit warm for parents but perfect for the kiddos taking lessons. They also periodically conduct safety lessons built into the lessons. One is line day where they get you to bring your kiddo in their regular clothes and have the kid jump in the pool in their clothes before the lesson (it doesn't eat into your class) so they get to experience what it feels like to fall into a pool with their clothes on. Another is when they bring a raft into the class and they show the kids what to do if they are in a raft that was going to tip over and they actually tip the kids out. Last level they did it where the kids were wearing safety vests and this level, they did it without. The other thing i really appreciate is that they always call back even when the school is closed. The managers always listens and as they themselves start as coaches, i have found them to always understand any concerns and they are very open about my boy's progression. Whats amazing is that every single manager you speak to will know about your kid. At least, that's what i've found which i find very amazing. Currently we are taking lessons with Isaiah and i have found him extremely steady and confident. He gives clear instructions and very firm. I've seen him carry a kid out of the pool then gently but firmly made the kid look him in the eye and talk to him because he was being unsafe. I have also seen him without missing a beat catch a kid gently that was swimming out of turn while still giving instructions and watching the kid that was supposed to be swimming. Twice, my son told Issiah that he wanted to try something and his response was "Show Me" and he remembered to let him during his turn. That alone showed me that he respects his student. I'm very impressed. We are currently on the waitlist for a particular teacher for the next level and i asked Isaiah if he will be willing to work on some of the next level things with my son while we waited and he gamely agreed. The only issue which is not the school's is that there is constant construction outside the school which will affect your travel time so take note. I am very happy with the school and the coaches and my boy loves the water and is confident in the water. Highly recommend.
We’ve had a mixed experience with this facility. While the instructor Niki was excellent and made a real difference, the overall communication and scheduling have been inconsistent. Reaching staff has been difficult, and follow-up for lessons has not been reliable. Because of this, we’re not able to commit to ongoing lessons and will be having to explore other options. Niki was the highlight of our experience and we appreciate her work.
My son has been going to Emler for swim lessons for a while now and we love it at Emler! This Oak hill location is really nice- clean, big, modern. We also love our swim instructor Ms. Emily! My son has learned so much from her and they have such a sweet bond. So lucky to have found Emler and Ms. Emily!
We started Emler with the parent in the water class with Ms Jade when our kiddo was 2. He’s 3 1/2 now and has really excelled after classes with Ms Bella and Ms Emily. We appreciate the skills he’s being taught, especially for safety!
