⸻ ⭐ PUBLIC REVIEW / TENANT WARNING ABOUT EVERNEST ⭐ If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like dealing with a property management company that thrives on last-minute chaos and empty threats, let me introduce you to Evernest. We offered reasonable solutions — even told them we could leave the keys in a lockbox, or at a nearby office, or anywhere that made sense. But apparently, “common sense” isn’t included in their business model. Instead, Evernest’s strategy seems to be: 🔹 Wait until the very last minute 🔹 Send panic emails 🔹 Threaten tenants with “additional rent” if we don’t jump when they say jump 🔹 Ignore the fact that they had an entire lease term to plan this And now somehow we’re the problem? Let’s be clear: We moved into the property AS-IS, meaning dirty carpets, dirty walls, dirty floors, and a place that clearly hadn’t seen a professional cleaning in who knows how long. But now suddenly they expect a hotel-level move-out? Make it make sense. We will be out of the country, and Evernest is still sending last-minute “urgent” messages like their lack of preparation is our emergency. It’s not. We already made our decision: No last-minute demands. No pressured compliance. No fake rent charges. I’ve rented from multiple companies over the years, and I’ve never seen anything as disorganized and tone-deaf as this. If future tenants want a warning: Here it is. Choose another company. Your peace of mind will thank you.

Rental qualifications say they accept housing vouchers and they actually don't. Don't get scammed and apply!

Problems at every turn. Communication with Evernest is a nightmare. I call at 12 noon for a problem with my security deposit. The lady on the phone tells me, "sorry, the agent you need to talk to about your house is on her lunch break right now, she will be out at 1." I call again at 2 pm. Again, "sorry, she just went out on her lunch break but she will be off at 3." Evernest also mailed my security deposit refund check with an incomplete forwarding address, so I had to plead with them to resend it to me correctly. Not sure whether this is a simple case of incompetence or if it's due to intentional negligence, used to wear tenants down into giving up.
