I just found Flatwater Collective this summer and I am so very grateful I did! I took their 8 week MBSR class this fall and it was absolutely lovely. The instructors were Anne Savery and Carlos Figueroa, top notch folks. They shared many different methods and perspectives to approaching mindfulness and meditation in an accessible and open way. My cohort of participants were some of the most kind and thoughtful people from all experience levels and walks of life. It was impactful for me to learn along side others and to hear their experiences throughout our weeks. It filled my heart up and I'm looking forward to going to their other offerings. If you are looking for a welcoming community with a positive mission, look no further. Total gem.
I recently attended a daylong silent meditation retreat and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a wonderful opportunity to take a pause from my daily routine and spend the whole day practicing various forms of meditation. The instructors effectively explained each step and the space itself was comfortable and inviting. Additionally, a delicious vegetarian lunch was included along with mindful eating. I would recommend this to both a beginner or an experienced practitioner.
The daylong retreats are practical and accessible to anyone. Located downtown, it's in a bright, open, and welcoming space. Good for practicing and learning about meditation.
I just completed the mindfulness class and I am really looking forward to exploring more! Really cool people to commune with and a relaxed, supportive, space. I have also attended a few Sunday meditations and discussion. I’m so grateful for this place and the gift it has been to the people in Omaha who are seeking community and deeper connections to self and others.
