Gary Gary Gary ! Annoying just like your parents, but still a nice person to deal with. I rented a truck for ‘The Good Fryday’ from these guys, and there was a problem with the truck at the very beginning, but they did all what they can to fix it for me. Please check their website before you go through the process 😂😂😂
The food trailer that Sukhil and his team built is phenomenal…not my words, but the words of an inspector when they checked. Other inspectors had similar comments. The kitchen equipment is top notch. Funkefamous is a new food service brand and is growing. All our future trucks and trailers would be built by Sukhil’s team, period!
I had an excellent experience with Garry and his team . They did an amazing job working on my food truck — professional, reliable, and quick to get me back on the road. The service was top-notch, and they went above and beyond to make sure everything was running perfectly. Highly recommend for anyone needing quality and honest mechanical work!
⚠️ BUYER BEWARE: Food Trucks Canada ⚠️ I am sharing this to warn anyone considering purchasing a food truck from Food Trucks Canada. My daughters and I invested $60,000 into our dream business, Smash n Grab, and what we received has been nothing short of a nightmare. Just five weeks into operating, our fire suppression system went off for no reason during morning prep — no fire, no smoke, nothing — causing $5,000 in damages and lost sales. This was due to poor installation and substandard sensors, as confirmed by an independent, licensed fire company (Anderson Fire Suppression Systems). Their technician explained that the sensors installed were 360° sensors, completely inappropriate for a food truck setup where the minimum standard is 500°F sensors. He also noted that some wiring was done illegally and should never have passed inspection. When I tried contacting Food Trucks Canada for help, nobody returned my calls. I had to pay out of pocket for replacement parts, professional cleaning, and lost an important catering event that day — all while our reputation took a major hit. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the first or last issue: Day 1: After bringing the truck home, it flooded overnight due to a poorly sealed roof and improperly installed hood screws. Despite repeated calls and texts, I was told to fix it myself. Gas system: The propane fittings were loose and unsafe; a licensed inspector had to recalibrate everything, calling the work “dangerous.” Fryer failures: Within three weeks, one fryer completely stopped working. I had to close early and drive from Ottawa to Toronto to exchange it — no reimbursement for travel, installation, or lost income. Then, a few weeks later, the second fryer failed as well, forcing me to make the same trip again at my own cost. When I contacted Danny, he accused me of building a second truck behind his back instead of helping. At the shop, an employee admitted that the original fryers had a manufacturer defect and that many had already been replaced. Truck condition: I later discovered the “new build” truck was actually 16 years old with 337,000 km, a fact never disclosed before payment. Most concerning, two official fire inspection orders from the Casselman Fire Department (Inspection Orders #2025-158 and #2025-159) confirmed multiple violations of the Ontario Fire Code and NFPA standards, including: Unlisted, non-compliant grease filters Missing grease drip tray Gaps in the hood system allowing unfiltered exhaust Unapproved sealing materials Missing rooftop grease containment system No Class K extinguisher in the kitchen Corroded and expired portable extinguishers Missing posted fire suppression instructions I’ve made multiple attempts to resolve these issues directly with Food Trucks Canada, but the lack of response, accountability, and professionalism speaks for itself. If you’re considering buying a food truck, do your research, get independent inspections, and think twice before trusting Food Trucks Canada. What was supposed to be our dream has turned into an exhausting and costly ordeal — and no small business owner deserves that. — Risa Daigle Owner, Smash n Grab Food Truck Casselman, Ontario
The kitchen portion of the food truck purchased was excellent in every way. They even met the specs for Nova Scotia without having to be asked Delivery was on time and fairly priced however the delivery driver was lazy, unprepared and tried everything to get me to do his job for him The truck was inspected in Ontario by their own shop and was not done properly. I took the truck to have a pre inspection from Rino truck and lubes in Dartmouth a very experienced and reputable garage and they found multiple safety infractions that would cost a $1000. When I showed the them the report and requested they pay the amount it was an ongoing argument for 3 days but finally Danny agreed to pay the amount but only based on him receiving a great google review. Conclusion: Great kitchen built probably best I’ve seen in 20 years Not honest and forth coming with vehicle inspections Truck could have been cleaned up abd old decals removed Willingness to pay for safety infractions needs to be met right away not given just to get a good review Their communication, instructions and expediency was great.
