I recently contacted this business to inquire about classes. Anji was very courteous and helpful during our conversations via text and phone, and the Python/game design teacher also seemed great. However, my experience with the front desk staff member was very different. He appeared dismissive, which made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. While the space itself was clean, it was also quite loud. Ultimately, the negative interaction at the front desk was a deciding factor, and I have chosen to take my business elsewhere.
Cannot give this studio a better rating than 5 unfortunately. The family that owns it is amazing, with a real love for music. We drive to the other side of town to go here for our 10-year-old. His instructor is also a great guy that really knows how to connect with his students and get them excited.
Our Son Ayden had wanted to play the drums for several years. We started looking for a drum instructor that would be the perfect fit for Ayden. After searching and asking around we decided that the best option was with our life long friends, Jim & Anji Korakis, Owners of Good Life Muisc & Media Studio in Tulsa Oklahoma would offer amazing opportunities for Ayden to not only learn how to play the drums but help him to develop his skills and further his love for music!! I want to bring up the fact that Ayden’s weekly drum lessons are conducted online over zoom meetings. Good Life Studio is located in Tulsa, Oklahoma and we live in Rural Central Missouri. Ayden will be wrapping up drum level 4 lessons in the middle of June and we will be driving to Tulsa for him to perform his drum solo in the annual Good Life Summer Live Show. This is only one of many events that Good Life has to offer. Ayden has diligently progressed so well over the last two years with his drum skills that he has recently been asked to practice with adult worship team at our church to be the back up drummer for the team. We can’t emphasize enough how ecstatic and proud we are of Ayden and the fact that Good Life has played a huge part of Ayden being offered the opportunity to be a part of the church worship team!!! Ayden is a talented drummer at the age of 10 who is excited to practice his drums and meet weekly for his lessons because of the experience, knowledge and fun that Jim, Anji and the other instructors provide at each lesson and event!! Thank you Good Life for taking the time to invest in Ayden’s and others lives and talents!! If you or your kids are interested in developing or furthering your skills in music we highly recommend Good Life Music and Media Studio!! Renee Cunningham
Our daughter has been taking drum and vocal lessons at Good Life for several years. The facility and the instructors are amazing. They focus on the gifts and skills of each child and encourage them to grow to be the best they can possibly be. Jim is encouraging, patient and makes lessons fun and enjoyable for my daughter. I highly recommend Good Life for anyone wanting to learn an instrument or improve their vocals.
We have been attending Good Life for music lessons since the summer of 2017. They were recommended to us by a few acquaintances. As soon as I met Jim and Anjanette, I felt welcome and knew that we mattered to them for more than the money we could spend. They both, along with all of the staff, care about the students, the education, and the families involved. My 6 year old and 4 year old each had a free lesson to help discover what instrument they wanted to learn and at what level they needed to start. Both kids have enjoyed their lessons immensely. I liked the environment there so much that when they started a ladies' guitar class, I jumped at the chance. We were all nervous and excited to perform in the fabulous winter program. It was a great success! They have added periodic Achievement Days throughout the year to promote individual goals and growth and to provide for in-depth evaluation. It is done in such a way as to make us feel empowered through our musical abilities and to provide constructive feedback without hindering enthusiasm. Our family has been very happy at Good Life and look forward to continuing our music education with them for a long time to come!
