Loved it! Gràcia was a great surprise. Highly recommend. We went mid day for a small bite and know we will go back. The space is nice and cozy. Indoor and outdoor seating. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The menu looks amazing. It was hard to pick from the menu only because everything sounds delicious. We had the hash and potatoes ( I was in a mood) and loved them both. The chocolate dessert was amazing as well. Will go back with friends for dinner dates. May take my mother for the pistachio pancakes. So many restaurants in the neighborhood, treat yourself and eat here.
Good Eats with Matt: Gràcia Mediterranean Date night can take many forms. When you are married to a foodie, inevitably a good meal is going to be involved. The quandy becomes where to go on a Wednesday night. Spam email is a curse of our digital world. However, every once in a while you get an email that has a great offer. Such an email is what moved us to check out Gràcia Mediterranean. Located in Rosedale, just off Burnet, Gràcia's is a small beautiful space perfect for special evening with your spouse (aka fiancee, aka girl/boy/other friend). We chose to hit them up as soon as they opened a 5 p.m because they have a nice happy hour. Apertivo cocktails are half off and we chose the Rose Sangria and the Lilletarito Spritz. The latter has a Lillet Blanc, fresh citrus, agave and grapefruit soda. We initially chose two Tapas Frías, the Fresh Chickpea Hummus ($14) and the Crab Suiffed Piquillo Peppers ($18) The Hummus was half price. Later we tried a half dozen Oysters on the Half Shell ($26) which were also half priced. All three choices we delectable. The pitas served with the Hummus were warm and soft and we could have used a few more. I saw the table next to us asked for more, so keep that in mind if you get it. Also you can get Crudítes in place or in addition to the pitas for an addi$4. The Hummus comes with an Allepo Chili Oil and Za'atar. If you are not familiar with Piquillo Peppers, you need to learn about them. Grown in Northen Spain they have a sweet taste when. you bite into them and just a little tang with low heat at the end. I love stuffing them with goat or Bleu cheese and serving as an appetizer. Gràcia kicks it up a notch and stuffs the peppers with fresh crab meat, drizzles it with a lemon aioli and finishes them with herbed breadcrumbs. There are three in an order. My wife didn't wait for a discussion onthe third piece. It was on her plate, and quickly consumed. We also love oysters. Theirs were sweet, a bit small, and served with a Fresno Chili Mignonette. For the main course, we ordered the Seafood Paella. It is only available on Wednesdays and is market price depending upon the ingredients. Ours was $53 and included jumbo prawns and swordfish. The Paella was perfect for two people. Check out their full menu online. I promise you, this will be a great start to your evening. Have dessert at home 😊 #MattGoodEats
We visited the restaurant for a casual Sunday brunch and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The dining room was nice, cozy and well decorated and the music volume was conducive to conversation. The staff was very well trained and welcoming and took great care of us. The food itself was delicious. We ordered the Pistachio pankakes, Shakshouka, hummus and a slice of the almond-orange cake. Everything was delicious, fairly priced and of an appropriate serving size. All in all, we would recommend this to others and look forward to visiting again to try more dishes.
Truly an excellent meal and gem of a restaurant from the ambiance to the staff and especially the food. Highly recommend the drink From Whom the Betabel Trolls. Entertaining name and delicious drink. The best dish we had was the crab stuffed piquillo peppers. Highly highly recommend that those and the hummus. The empanadas, and croquettes were also great. Wonderful meal accompanied with excellent staff.
Tried gracia for first time. Place is very small so tables are very close to each other sitting next to you. Croquettes were very good and so were the empanadas. Octopus was super small portion and not worth the $21 price point at all. Crab meat stuffed pequillo peppers were nothing special anyone can make it at home. Almond orange cake was just kpt good , super dense and not flavor we took 2 bites and didnt finish the rest . Service was decent but they were understaffed as thet even had a kitchen person help with bringing food out which wasn't very experienced and took food to wrong tables a few times . What made us make the food rating 2 stars is the MAJOR heartburn both of us had within 30 minutes of finishing our meal. Clearly the oil used for frying , cooking was either low quality or not changed recently as that is only times we get some major heartburn when eating out which is wht we avoid mediocre places which is how we feel about gracia. We wont be returning.
