Hoshi Sushi is an absolute gem, and every visit confirms why they deserve five stars. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is calm, clean, and genuinely welcoming. The quality of the fish here is simply outstanding—fresh, beautifully prepared, and meltingly tender. The chefs clearly take immense pride in their work; every roll, piece of nigiri, and sashimi plate is meticulously crafted. You can taste the difference immediately! Highlights to try: Aburi Salmon Oshi: This is a must-try. The slightly torched salmon, balanced sauce, and subtle hint of citrus make it addictive. Dynamite Roll: Always perfectly crispy and never greasy. Sashimi Platter: Excellent value for the sheer freshness and generous cuts. Beyond the incredible food, the service is consistently friendly, attentive, and efficient. The staff is always smiling and ensures you have everything you need without hovering. They make the dining experience truly pleasant. Whether you're looking for a quick lunch or a relaxed dinner, Hoshi Sushi delivers excellence every single time. It's easily one of the best sushi spots in the area, offering high-quality food at very reasonable prices. Highly recommended!

This is the only sushi spot along the seawall from Yaletown to English Bay. We usually pass by without going in since the menu isn’t cheap, but I finally tried it once with my brother. We ordered a few rolls, tempura, and a pitcher of sangria, and the bill came to $120 for two people. The service was great and the food quality was very good, making it a memorable experience. Just keep in mind—it’s pricey and you might not leave completely full.

Portions are very large and some of their rolls were quite interesting. For a sushi resturant, the quality of fish was not amaizng. I enjoy the outdoor patio by the water. There was only one server and it took us 45mins after we finished eating and waving him down three times for us to receive the bill and pay to leave.
