Could not be more disappointed and frustrated with a business. We left our RV with them for 2 weeks with the agreement that the maintenance would be finished at an agreed upon time and price. When we showed up to pick it up and start our trip the work wasn't started. We waited 4 hours while the work was completed then inspected. It was 20% higher then the quoted price when we came to pay, when we questioned it we were told it took longer then anticipated and nothing could be done. It was just basic maintenance and we were more concerned with starting our trip than the extra $150. We drove off there lot and within a mile of leaving the engine started over heating. We limped back to Houston RV with no power steering and engine lights flashing to find out they did not install the oil plug properly and we lost 5 quarts of oil in that short distance. Luckily there was an oil trail from where they had brought our RV from so they did take responsibility for replacing the oil and installing the plug properly which ended up talking another couple of hours. At this point we finally got out of there in late afternoon rush hour after showing up at the 9 am agreed upon time. After our trip and heading home up north we stopped to winterize as the temperature was going below zero that night. One of the other services we had Houston RV do was to decalcify the Truma on demand hot water heater. We came to find out the on demand hot water heater filter could not be removed. They would have had to remove it when they did the service. Even when taking it to another RV dealer (national chain), they were not able to remove it. After discussing with Truma the only option was replacing it. During this time we were dealing with a manager from Houston RV. He mentioned they have had a hard time with the employee who worked on our RV and he was fired. He was trying to help for awhile but we ended up having to deal with one of the owners, Micheal, when the repairs to fix their mistakes were over $2000. Through our dealings with Michael we could have not been more disappointed. He acknowledged they were responsible for the problem but we couldn't prove it because we drove it off the lot. He also mentioned if it wasn't such an expensive fix he would have honoured it. I was shocked with his attitude, he expressed he's had many upset customers, quite frustrating dealing with a business that doesn't care about their shoddy work. We have since found trust worthy service centers and feel we should warn others of having their RV's serviced at Houston RV.
