We have only had amazing experiences with this place! They are always patient and so kind and understanding. It is a bit expensive, but so is human emergency medicine. I appreciate everyone here and could not be more thankful to have this place, as they have saved my dogs on multiple occasions.
If I could give this place zero stars I would. We took our dog who had been Experiencing parvo symptoms To them Saturday night. From around 7:30 to midnight We were sat in a room and told almost virtually nothing about our dogs Condition. After they confirm, Parvo One of the amazing doctors came in and was really upfront with us about her survival chances and everything that Needed to be done. When we talked to another doctor It came out that me and my fiancé were both under the age of 19 The doctor literally got up and walked out and said I’ll be right back in a snooty tone. The so-called manager (the lady at the front desk) came in and told us That since we were not 19, we cannot authorize any treatment And that it was illegal to own a dog in the state of Alabama under 19. She told us that we would be better signing our dog over to the rescue and that she would die if We didn’t. When asked if she would be returned after she said no that she would be put up for adoption or put in a shelter and euthanized if not adopted. When I offered to call my mother(who lives 3 hours away) to authorize treatment and take financial responsibility she told me that they would have to come into office to sign When I mentioned to her that my fiancé’s parents were over the age of 80 and cannot get out of the house without help and that my parents were three hours away She said we’ll see what we can do, but never came back to give us an update. After this encounter, I felt that my dog was unsafe in the hands of this so-called manager and her team. I got my fiancé to request that our dog be given back to us so we can go home. Finally, after 30 minutes, they brought our girl out while I paid But held on to her until my card went through. Luckily, almost 5 hrs and $307 later, Thanks to the one doctor that actually treated us like we were human and not toddlers, My dog was able to get the fluids and meds she needed and come home and she is doing better and is in SAFE hands. To whoever the so called manager is. I really think you need to evaluate your customer service and look at yourself in a mirror before you judge others.
We had to take my dog in for an emergency. The staflf was respectful and caring. When it came time to make the hard decisions the doctor was upfront and truthful about the odds of survival with treatment and was not judgemental of us when we decided it was time to let go. They gave us a private space to process and spend our last moments with our baby. They let us know the options for the after care and answered questions multiple times because we were struggling to process it all. Thank you so much tomthe staff and doctor who cared for my fur baby until end.
Unfortunately, I had to put my cat down on a Sunday morning because he was having cluster seizures. I googled the closest animal hospital and came across this one. The nurse was OUTSTANDING! She was very empathetic and understood my situation. She was also very quick to take care of my baby. The doctor was so nice as well! She explained each process thoroughly and answered all of my questions. They made me feel like they cared. I would recommend this hospital 100%!
I’d like to complement Dr Scott and her staff last night for taking excellent care of my golden retriever who got ahold of a corn cob. I was so hesitant to bring him in since on our last visit we waited for what seemed like an eternity, although it was through no fault of their own. There just happened to be a ton of emergent situations and surgeries that night. I am so glad I took him though as we avoided what would have been a very expensive surgery. Everyone was so kind and professional, from the receptionist before I brought him in, to his nurse, and then Dr Scott. The plan was presented and treatment done promptly, in and out in an hour. Brady and I thank you so much.
