They are closed for inventory, for two days. You talk about being behind on technology. Maybe they need to update. Very disappointing.

We walked around looking at the beautiful architecture. The gift store cashier is a wonderful, helpful person.

Didn't go to the gift shop but walked around the ground level and read a few facts. Pretty cool place to visit

The gift shop was closed, google said it was open Saturdays (guess I should have confirmed). Looked cool, but disappointed I couldn't get my stamp for my capitol collection book.

Nice gift shop located at the ground level. Mostly typical gift shop items emblematic of the state capital building & Boise like postcards(photo & local art), magnets, mugs, stickers, soaps, jewelry, and much more. You can take the stairs or elevator down. There is also a door that leads directly to the outside & garden. Outside the shop is full of information & history boards.
