Sod quality was awful. I paid hundreds of dollars for overpriced, low quality sod and half of it was dried out and useless. When I tried to contact them to have a conversation about replacing the rolls that were in the worst shape, I was told more than once that John Jr. would call me, and he never did. Save yourself the hassle and money and go to Green Horizons where they do sod right and at a much better price point too.

I am very disappointed with both the product, quality and more importantly the customer service. A good nursery should stand behind what they sell. more than 11 Trees died out of 20+ and they don't want to honour the warranty. Base on my experience, I cannot recommend John's Nursery at all.

We bought trees for over 700$ . Such as Korean dwarf lilac standard bought for 229$ . Same exact one was less than 80$ at Canadian tire . I understand they need to make little more as small business than big store however this is huge different. The cost of supporting local I guess is to be taken advantage of . The good news I learned my lesson and won't be buying from them . Too late for me but I hope this review helps other customers. Follow up , actually they are identical same tags and same tree . As of my reply to you it's our fault And cost of trusting your business. My only hope is this review help othe people and save them the headache and the feeling of being taken advantage of.

July 5 - only place in the area with stock!!! All plants at other nurseries were old, brown, falling apart and/or barely alive. John’s is stocked like its May 24 still. Great selection, and healthiest plants. Good prices too.

I have nothing but great things to say about the work that John’s Nursery did at my house. It all started with me meeting with their designer, Elizabeth, to review what we were doing, which was essentially an entire backyard overhaul. Part of the overhaul was creating new garden beds, which meant we were starting with a clean slate, however my wife and I aren’t “green thumbs” at all, so we put our trust in Elizabeth, and it was a fantastic decision on our part. Our request was simple; make it colourful and easy to maintain. The photos speak for themselves. Elizabeth took the time and photoshopped her vision of the garden beds, which helped us envision what the final product would look like. This was a huge help! Their work is second-to-none, and as a result of the last year of fantastic experiences with them I have referred several clients to them. We plan to continue to utilize John’s Nursery for garden bed maintenance, and are absolutely thrilled with the experience we’ve had working with them since last summer.
