I’ve been taking my son Remy in to get haircuts here for years. A little background, my son is autistic and certainly has some sensitivity and behavioral needs. At first, haircuts were very hard, but the staff here has always been patient and understanding to his individual needs. Not the easiest cut for them, but nonetheless they always assured me to that with repetition, time and practice the cuts would become easier form him. Fast forward to today, where my son is almost six years old, went in brave, no tears, no discomfort- came out with the most confident smile about his cut. I give the staff here all the credit and all the praise for helping and being patient with him all these years. I know it’s not easy to cut a child’s hair, let alone one with special needs, but the staff here has always shown my family the most careful cuts every-time. To Felisa, Maria and the owner that have all shown my son compassion, I say thank-you from the bottom of my heart. Thanks again - Maria, Remy and familia

We had a very bad experience. I would not recommend this place for young kids. Staff especially the one we worked with (little bit older lady) wasn’t patient with our 2yr old. We went there without an appointment, they told us they can take. Wasn’t patient when we were discussing the style we want for the first hair cut for our boy. And wasn’t patient while she was giving the hair cut, whole time she was saying there is an appointment coming up, then why take us? Back of the neck our kid had a slat line and sides were uneven. And there was also piece sticking out so I asked her to take a second look and she initially didn’t even come closer to me to see what I was showing and started to say that that is how the cut is supposed to look. When I insisted she got angry and was starting to be slightly rough with my child. So I confronted her and we got into an argument. Totally unprofessional place that I would refuse to go even if they gave free haircuts. The already existing bad reviews are very true and we shouldn’t have gone there. Would never ever come back here.

Our 2 yo son absolutely cannot stand haircuts and he throws tantrums that make everyone's heads turn. Fortunately, our stylist Jonathan saved him from another embarrassing fit. Jonathan went above and beyond to ease our son and he reassured, with his many years of experience, that his approach would inevitably calm him and that our son would actually learn to be comfortable with the process. We were shocked. Jonathan was right. And he was able to get the job done, without my son crying and flailing. This is a huge feat, and I thank Jonathan for helping our son to overcome his discomfort and for helping us better support him. The haircut also turned out very cute to boot!

The hair stylist worked quickly and effectively to cut my 20 month old grandson's hair as he sat in a race car chair and watched Miss Rachel. We love the way his hair turned out!

I’ve been coming here for years since both my kids had enough hair to cut. It’s definitely no-frills but it’s a San Francisco classic and my kids love coming here. They have fun chairs, a movie playing to distract while waiting and getting hair cut, and the stylists are always so sweet, thoughtful about the kids’ hair, and fast - very important with toddlers! You can book online which makes scheduling easier and the prices are very reasonable for a kid’s haircut. They are still requiring masks which is A-OK in my book. They used to have a play area for waiting before COVID; maybe they’ll bring it back one day. We always go across the street to Mitchell’s afterwards to grab a reward for sitting still and being patient.
