This is not your local street taco (which are delicious still!). This is Gourmet Mexican Cuisine to enjoy and appreciate. Excellent service, ambience (great music included) and delicious food with amazing presentation! Sergio was wonderful and very attentive, would come back again gladly.
La Nayarita offers an exceptional Mexican dining experience that impresses from the moment you walk in. The ambience is warm, vibrant, and thoughtfully designed, creating a welcoming atmosphere that sets the tone for an enjoyable meal. We began with the crab cakes as an appetizer, and they were outstanding. Perfectly cooked, rich in flavor, and incredibly fresh, they immediately hinted at the kitchen’s attention to quality. Even before the dishes arrived, the aroma of food throughout the restaurant was inviting and added to the overall experience. For the main course, we ordered Pato al Mole de la Abuela, featuring tender duck breast, and it was truly a game changer. The mole sauce was deep, complex, and beautifully balanced—clearly inspired by traditional, home-style cooking. Every bite felt thoughtful and memorable. Alongside it, the Mestizo lamb chops were equally impressive: juicy, well-seasoned, and cooked to perfection, showcasing bold yet refined flavors. To finish the meal, I had the tres leches cake for dessert. It struck the perfect balance of sweetness—rich without being overwhelming—making it an ideal ending to a satisfying dinner. Overall, La Nayarita delivers excellence in both flavor and atmosphere. From the carefully prepared dishes to the inviting ambience, this restaurant stands out as a must-visit for anyone seeking an elevated Mexican dining experience.
I’ve always passed by here coming past Trinity Bellwoods but never had a chance to have friends who were down to go. One of my friends shared a tictok for La Nayarita and we agreed to go. Made a reservation and headed down. Honestly it was surprising walking from outside to in. The decor was so pleasing to the eye, the restaurant was well lit but still had a very comfortable vibe. To be honest, the food and atmosphere was amazing. Drinks were mixed well, staff were friendly and attentive and the food was a hit. The only thing was there were fruit flies. I will return because that patio looks like it will be fun jn the summer.
I had an awesome dinner here! We started with the coconut shrimp, really tasty. Then I had the chicken enchiladas with red sauce and my friend had the enmoladas with mole. Both dishes were full of flavor. Our server Alexis was so welcoming and friendly, really made the night. The place has a cozy, authentic vibe and great music. Definitely recommend La Nayarita if you’re craving real Mexican food in Toronto! 🌮🍹
Stopped in for the first time on a quiet Wednesday at 5 and it exceeded expectations. I got a fabulous margarita (ordered a second it was so good) and two starters at happy hour prices. $10 appetizers, and $4 off $18 drinks so a break but not inexpensive. The lobster starter (coral bites) was particularly gourmet and delicious, and the guacamole was just fine. The young man taking my order was very pleasant as was the general vibe on this day. Would definitely go back.
