The view was amazing, the coffee was good. I had the white chocolate pitashio scone!! I loved it. The only reason I didn't give the 5 stars was because there was a smell around the area that made it hard to stay there to eat.
Call before you go, as there is a chance they may be waiting for their next shipment, which can sometimes takes weeks. Luckily, they had hot chocolate, but only the 54% kind. It worked very well for the kiddo, but it was a tad sweet for me. I can't wait for the dark chocolate to be restocked. This is the real deal folks. Belgian chocolates that are melted, European style, with a choice of milk, heavy cream for the kid, while almond milk for me. Delicious. And Marlon is the best, super friendly and very patient. He was right to suggest we get to-go cups - turns out very few people finish it - so rich and reasonably priced. Instead, it makes for great pudding. Or for kids, use it as a concentrate diluting it with the milk of your choice, no sugar needed. Overall, this was high quality, and since they were out of chocolates, Marlon gave us complimentary vanilla wafers. I tried the mocha, which is 2 espresso shots, along with half almond milk (I asked for plant based milk) and half hot chocolate shot (54% since that was the only one available). It was decent, a tad burnt (probably the coffee bean was a dark roast), but enjoyable. I'd return for the hot chocolate, or a mocha with dark chocolate. Tip: Although we used metered parking in front, there's free parking at the back of the store. Tip: Get the to-go cup, even if you use their cute patio and use a real mug to start. Tip: Get on the call list to get alerted when the Belgian chocolates are back in stock
A little gorgeous Belgian chocolate shop by the busy Wilshire Boulevard. I used to stay literally less than a mile away, but never got a chance to pay a visit, partly because I only noticed its existance approaching my last day but also they didn't open on Sunday and closed by late afternoon no weekday. Wondering around the area this New Year's Eve brought my feet finally to its front door! Plenty of street parking in front, but as I was about to park, the florist sharing the same patio with the chocolate shop told me to just go to the back for free parking (call it my lucky day!). The shop literally looked like those classic long-standing one, which stayed cute across ages. There's nice semi open-air patio by the side to just chill over a cup of hot chocolate. I went for their Classic Hot Chocolate, which I indeed have been eyeing. It's a mixed of 5x% and 7x% chocolate melted in heavy cream; so yeah it's super thick and rich, just flawless for this chilly winter. I went for their 12oz and the super friendly guy behind the counter did mention he could gimme a to-go cup if I couldn't finish it since it was indeed filling. He said many people brought the remaining for to-go, put it in the fridge and ate it as pudding, which I ended up doing and yeah they're still as enjoyable just in different way! The showcase provided uber rich selections of chocolate truffles and pralines that I felt like all kinds of preferences served here as they had liquor-infused, fruit-based, nut-topped, and more. It's also perfect for gifts as they provided various sizes of gift-boxes with diffrent designs. It's weigh-based system, and I got 5 mix of truffles and pralines costed me around $10, which was kind of common price for a kind. I did a mix of dark chocolate based and milk chocolate based with different infusion and toppings, and none of them failed me. All the great reviews about this place was totally genuine and you could tell how great the chocolate quality was. Don't even feel hesitant to go for their unique flavors, such as the lime-infused one as it felt like having key lime pie in the form of chocolate truffle!
Coffees and sandwiches and pastries like croissants are delish. Due importing regulations etc their stock is temporarily low until their Belgium Choc arrives.. Charming courtyard to enjoy coffee, read, or meet friends.
I’ve visited this store so many times and realized I have not give them a review here. They have such a delicious array of chocolates and figurines (for Valentines, Christmas, Easter...) I have tried so many flavors and love the surprises in each. They look so pretty too! Perfect for gifting or bringing something to a dinner or party with friends :) Talk about eye candy ❤️
