Lees is an absolute classic, but the downtown location is pretty bare bones. The food is fantastic as always, but the interior is dirty and service was friendly and polite, but a bit slow and disorganized. Highly recommend the meatball bahn mi!
I was pretty hungry after a full day, ordered the Korean BBQ sandwich, pork and shrimp spring rolls and a taken chicken sandwich for my wife at home. Was expecting some sort of pork with the usual sloppy sauce and veggies. What I got was thin sliced lean Korean seasoned pork on a in house baked crispy on the outside, tasty light white fluffy roll that would make a baggett cry with a combination of fresh asian lettuce, mint?, cucumbers, carrots, onions, thin sliced jalapeno peppers, no sloppy sauce about 16-18 inches long. Best sandwich I had in decades. Pork and shrimp spring rolls with peanut sauce were excellent as well. I'll be back to try more next week. No complaints from the wife about her sandwich as well. Don't bother going to those national sandwich chains, you will be wasting your money, there is no other comparison
We arrived craving a sandwich and one sandwich we asked for no jalapeño and extra pate and the cashier laughed at something i don’t know what and proceeded to give us a blank receipt we check our order there’s still jalapeño on the sandwich we go back to get it fixed and gave us it back get home and there’s still jalapeño on the sandwich do not recommend this location 👎🏾
After passing through this place so many times today I decided to have my lunch there and won't be the last time. Inside, the place smells good, is clean, tidy, and tidy. The staff are friendly and serve the customers as quickly as possible. Its menu is very varied, with options for everyone (vegetarians, vegans, meat lovers, bowls lovers, if you want something salty, sweet, or both.) I ordered:- Fresh vegan spring rolls- Cured pork sandwich (cured pork, house pickle, onion, jalapeño, cilantro, salt & pepper, soy sauce, and house mayonnaise)- Grilled pork sandwich (grilled pork, house pickle, onion, jalapeño, cilantro, salt & pepper, soy sauce, and house mayonnaise)- Asian salad bowl with portobello mushroom- cookie Everything was on point and I still thinking about the cookie!
The outside looked like it was located at an old shopping center but as I entered the restaurant it was very nice and clean. They followed the safety guidelines in social distancing. Restroom clean and everything looked sanitized. The variety of food they offer was freshly prepared or baked and the smell to the Baguettes they sell was inviting. Me and my husband ordered, spam and egg sandwiches, curry chicken, steamed pork buns, shrimp spring rolls and chicken n meatball kabobs. Beverages we nice and cold as well and I can say that their staff keeps the entire place clean.
