This Mexican food truck really stands out for the quality of its food. The dishes are delicious, freshly prepared, and full of authentic flavors. However, be prepared to wait — the service can be quite slow, especially during busy times. There are also very limited seating options, which makes eating on site a bit uncomfortable. Prices are on the higher side for a food truck, but the quality of the food is undeniable. Overall, great food, but patience and flexibility are required.
Gonna be honest, this place is okay. I’m pretty picky with tacos since I’m from Stockton, CA, and the food here felt really Americanized. It didn’t taste like traditional Mexican food, if that makes sense. The vibe was cool though — being in Hollywood and sitting outside was nice. I just personally thought the tacos were drier than the taco trucks I’m used to back home. There was also plenty of parking, which was a plus (I went around 8:30 p.m.). Overall, it’s an okay taco truck, but not really something I’d go out of my way to come back to or remember.
So I've tried various tacos al pastor and this one's stand out. They cut into thin slices and the "trompo" is cut the correct way, meaning they slice off the first layer and then start slicing. Now for the flavor it was not bursting but was good. Wold I crave them I dont think. The California burrito was the bomb, got it with carne asada which was actually my preferred taco from there. I would recommend their carne asada taco and California burrito.
Great value and tacos! We ordered a few tacos and one chicken gordita, and while everything was enjoyable, the tacos definitely stole the show. The gordita had decent flavor, but the dough was a bit too thick and came off as heavy and slightly greasy. If you're deciding what to get, I highly recommend sticking with the tacos—especially the tacos al pastor. They're packed with flavor and well worth it! Be aware: there were quite a few bees around the outdoor seating area, so just be mindful if you're eating outside.
California Burrito Rating (#20) On a mission to find the best California Burrito. Spot #20: Leo’s Tacos Truck The Burrito: They served me a big, hot California burrito. Its strongest point? It’s packed—dense, full of ingredients! The meat is tasty, the fries inside are crispy. However, I could barely taste any sauce or avocado inside. They provide salsas on the side, which are flavorful. Rating: 9/10 Service: Neutral, no-frills, strictly business. Nothing particularly warm or welcoming. Rating: 4/10 Atmosphere: The truck itself doesn’t create much of an environment. Just some tables and chairs nearby. Rating: 1/10
