Last year, we spent over $10,000 at Living Spaces. As part of a mattress promotion they were running (and are still running), we received what was advertised both online and in-store as a $300 GIFT CARD. This was not the reason for our purchase, it was simply part of the promotion. When the card arrived, we set it aside. Last week, my wife and I returned to the Gilbert store ready to spend another $7,000–$8,000 furnishing our nursery and an additional room in our new home. That’s when we were told the “gift card” was actually a promotional card, had a short expiration period, and had expired just one week earlier. We asked if anything could be done, given our purchase history, the misleading wording of the promotion, and how recently it expired. We were told it was at the manager’s discretion—and the response was a flat “no, we won’t do anything about it.” No attempt to work with us. No goodwill. No acknowledgment of loyalty. This isn’t really about $300—it’s about how customers are treated. The promotion is misleading at best, and customer loyalty clearly means nothing here. We left immediately and will be taking our business elsewhere. If you shop here, understand that you’ll be treated like a number, not a person.
I purchased a product from here. I measured my door and compared it to the dimensions of the product online. I was good to go so I scheduled delivery. When they arrived it didn’t fit. The movers measured the item and it was intact wider than it was supposed to be. They called living spaces with me present to confirm that my measurements are correct but the item is larger than it should be. The product was returned. Living spaces has charged me a delivery fee and 10% restock fee totaling about 200 dollars they will not return regardless. This is their mistake not mine. UPDATE: I got a nice email from the GM and a full refund including the delivery fee.
I bought a loveseat sleeper and paid to have living spaces deliver it, as well as paid for the extended warranty. It was delivered defective and the picture that the delivery man took showed the defect. I contacted the national customer service for living spaces the next day and was informed that because the furniture was discontinued, all they were willing to do was give me a discount of less than 20 percent or I could return it. I took the defective pillow to my local store, they documented the issue and said that a technician could be sent to my house to correct the problem. After nine days of communication (initiated by me), I was offered a 40 percent discount for an "AS-IS" product and was advised that my extended warranty was worthless and they would not refund it's cost. What good is buying the warranty if they are unwilling to abide by it's terms? I will never buy anything else from living spaces. They
Horrible customer service from living spaces corp. We purchased a “matching” set of these adorable swivel rockers to be told we (living spaces) are not responsible for lot or dye variations after opening them. I would have been better to buy elsewhere these are clearly two different colors same sku same descriptions, purchased at the exact same time picked up as a “set”. *** update after living spaces reply below. I have called the corporate number 3 times and spoke to three different people and even spoke a supervisor. All inquiries sent me to their 3rd party 1 year warranty claims department, the warranty process has made a hard statement that color/lot variation is NOT not covered and any attempts to warranty WILL be denied. Update2: Nick the general manager of the Gilbert store reached out to me in response to this review. Nick took complete care of us. He assured us that the incorrect color was a mistake, he ordered a new chair which is an exact match to the lighter blue. Be aware that the corporate call center agents follow a script and are unwilling to work with you the consumer. I am hesitant to continue business with living spaces over this matter, but will likely revisit Nick Notbohm and his team specifically at the Gilbert location. Corporate policy needs changes.
Jose, did an outstanding job delivering and assembling our bedroom furniture. He arrived on time, was extremely respectful and polite, and carried himself with the highest level of professionalism. The entire process was smooth and efficient, and he made sure everything was set up perfectly before he left. It’s such a relief to have someone handle a job like this with care and attention to detail. We couldn’t be more pleased with the service highly recommend! You will be super pleased if you get lucky enough to have Jose handle your delivery.
