I highly recommend Lucky auto! I had my van sitting at another mechanic for a week. I finally went and got my van and took it to Lucky on Tuesday afternoon, and Dee said they could work on Wednesday. But Wednesday afternoon he called and let me know the the OEM sensor is not availabe at dealer today but can be deliverd friday and thursday was thanksgiving, if i want aftermarket that can be install today but not recomended, i had to wait one extra day, which i dont mind as i prefer good work then one extra day. My van is running as new, no vibration anymore, I had my van back in great working condition!

Recently, I took my vehicle there for the first time for a water pump replacement. They were very friendly, did a great job, didn't charge me any extra fees above their quote, and also showed me other issues with my car and gave me a good estimated price if I want to do repair next time. Repair done on time. Very happy with the experience.

I went in for them to check out why my engine light was on. Well he took me back and showed me everything wrong I didn’t ask abt which I appreciated because just getting the car I needed to know what issues I need to work on getting fixed but I asked is that why my engine light is on and he said no that’s something different. I guess they still didn’t know what the engine light problem was. Well I got my dad to come pick me up while they took the time finding out the problem and mind you for them to connect that code reader to the car was $120. Ok so we left and abt 30 more minutes I called to find out do you know what is causing this light to be on and he said basically it’s going to be a $900 fix oh and we can’t guarantee that something else won’t come up once we fix it. I called my family and they said no, start with the cheapest fix first. And work your way up. Even google says that. These mechanics? No they just gonna jump to the 1,000 dollar problem, tell u it might not even be the real cause and not care about your pockets. I’ve even had them tell me they couldn’t find anything wrong with another car, and then miraculously came back with a $350 issue that I knew had just been fixed somewhere else. These people can’t be trusted

I brought my VW Jetta to Lucky Auto Repair for a clutch replacement. The shop gave the car back without a receipt, without explaining any issues, and without properly reinstalling the transmission. Days later, the transmission started sagging, coolant burst out, and the car became completely undrivable. When I returned asking for help, the shop refused responsibility. Only after I reported the problem did they print a new invoice that suddenly included “coolant is leaking,” which they never mentioned at pickup. Their workmanship and documentation practices are extremely concerning. The photo attached shows the condition of the transmission after their repair — bolts/mounts appear loose or improperly reinstalled. I have filed an official complaint with the Maryland Attorney General (Case MU-529176) because of the safety issues and how the situation was handled. I strongly recommend that customers use caution and verify all work and paperwork before leaving this shop.
