I want to give a shout out to Dr Julie Hanson and her nurse. My child was seen last weekend and I remembered her immediately from when I brought in my baby a few years ago who was very colicky and while nothing ended up being wrong, she had sat down and was relatable and so so kind about dealing with a colicky baby :) This visit was for something totally different but she was just as fabulous. Her nurse was wonderful too.
We just walked in for my son to be seen were told "you need an appointment, we stopped taking walk-ins over a year ago". First of all, I bought my other son in LAST MONTH as a walk in, and they had no issues with that and didn't mention anything about needed an appointment. And two.......why do you have "Urgent Care" in your name if your just a regular doctor office? The whole concept of "urgent" means they can't wait to see a regular doctor and need to be seen right away.
Doctor was nice but the service is garbage. Walked in and was told they don't accept walk ins and they we needed to make an appointment. Which is silly it's literally an urgent care ? But they booked us an appointment for in 20 minutes- Great. 40 minutes after our appointment we are still waiting. So I go to reception and ask - she gets an attitude with me purely out of nowhere and says we were a walk in so appointments take priority over us...there was still someone ahead of us. I'm sorry what the hell was the point of forcing us to make an appointment - because you don't accept walk ins - if we were still going to be treated like a walk in? Which I said to her and was about to leave. All of a sudden the doctor was available to see my child.
We are so grateful that this office is an option! We have brought our child here on multiple occasions when she was sick during the weekend. Saved us multiple emergency room visits! Dr. Julie Hanson is truly amazing! Makes us feel comfortable, very informative and friendly. She even personally called me with test results. Something you don't get every day in the medical field! Can not recommend this office enough!
I took my daughter here and the front desk staff were really kind and helpful. The nurses were friendly and great with my infant. Dr. Julie Hanson, MD went above and beyond in her care for my daughter than anyone has ever done. If it wasn't urgent care, I would want her to be my daughter's full-time pediatrician. Just remember to make an appointment.
