I dropped off a computer on October 27 and didn’t received any updates from the shop since that date. I had to make several calls asking about the status of the computer and I was always on hold for at least 30 minutes. After over two months he sent a voicemail contradicting himself saying he could fix the issue but he was still testing the computer so obviously he didn’t have experience fixing motherboards. I showed up to the shop trying to pickup my computer at 11 am on a week day and it was closed. When he finally returned the computer, screws were missing and refused to give us our money back so now we lost almost three months of time and a deposit. Now he is making offensive remarks about me and my husband only because he didn’t do his job and we are leaving bad reviews. Very unprofessional, opens the ship whenever he wants, don’t waste your time or money here, not worth it.

I brought in my laptop to see if they can fix the motherboard without having to replace the entire thing, since that is something they advertise they are able to do. I waited at least one month and finally called to try to get an update. They said they were “still testing” the board. I waited an additional 3 weeks and called again with an update, they told me the exact same thing, they still weren’t done testing it (even after 7 weeks) but they can look up prices and get a quote to replace the motherboard if that ends up being necessary, but they estimated about $500 at that time. I waited another 3 weeks and got a voicemail saying they “could not find the shorts on the motherboard,” yet they needed to order parts to “check some more things on the motherboard,” and needed those parts to repair the motherboard, which would cost $499. But otherwise the replacement would be $900. So they somehow could quote a price to repair a motherboard, which they don’t actually know how to repair, if that makes any sense at all. At this point I had received no helpful or conclusive information so wanted my laptop back. They said they couldn’t return it to me because they had to put it back together. I waited 2 days, went during their business hours and no one was there. Every single time I call, regardless of time of day I sit on hold for at least 30 min. Very unreliable and untrustworthy. I wouldn’t trust this business to replace a TV remote battery, let alone any kind of expensive computer. The effort and work ethic is non-existent, almost 3 months to get absolutely nothing done is absurd. I would avoid this business at all costs. Update: got the laptop back, but they didn’t even bother putting it completely back together, with one part that is supposed to attach next to the battery sitting completely outside the laptop and am missing several of the screws.

Mario and I are both members of an online repair community. I recently posted asking if anyone knew where to source FPC bracket covers and screws for an iPad Air 4, as none of the suppliers I checked had them available. Mario noticed my post and generously shipped me the parts free of charge from his own shop inventory. His thoughtful gesture was greatly appreciated and speaks to the kind of supportive professional he is.

I had a really good experience with Mario at MP Repairs. The gentleman was very respectful, professional and explained what the process would be. I felt confident in his ability just from that first conversation. We spoke thoroughly about his many types of repairs and he showed me some of his work. From everything I saw, it was all high quality work. Some of those damaged boards looked hopeless, but after seeing the before and after pictures, I was shocked. I could tell he went above and beyond and got the impossible fixed. He replaced my son's HDMI port on his Xbox at a very reasonable price and in 30 minutes. We tried it as soon as I got home and of course all was working as it should. Thank you very much. I will definitely use you again for all my electronic repair needs.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Mario Puente while he was diagnosing an erratic pulsation in my truck's module. During our interaction, I asked him how to clean the power connection on my phone. Mario generously shared his expertise, showing me how to use metal needle tools and a microscope to clean between the connections. In just one minute, he cleaned my phone at no charge and recommended a port cover to keep it clean in the future. Thanks to Mario, I’ve had no more issues with my phone.
