Reached out to schedule an appointment to install Ring floodlight but they no longer work in my area. Most people would hang up after that. Although they were not able to help on my project, their website is excellent and they had a specific section on smart device install, so props to them for that. Instead, CSR Zachary offered to help me find an alternative company to help. He said he would send me some recommendations and I just assumed he was going to Google electricians and send me a random list, which I was going to do anyway, but instead, what I got was a list of recommendations tailored based on my specific need case, which was handling tall height installs. Not just one or two options but he sent like 5 highlighting reviews on yelp and ratings. Just amazing. Maybe he had AI help but regardless, I looked there as well and was not able to gather that level of info that quickly. So above and beyond. I rarely write reviews but I was so appreciative I had to give them a shout out!
Wanted to leave a 5-star review for technician James Lowe. We've been dealing with an on-going kitchen reconstruction project following water damage. In dealing with all the issues of a 40-year old house, James' expertise and experience have been invaluable. The clarity of his explanations and the time he takes to make sure we understand all our options has been so helpful.
Mr. Electric of Clark County, from start to finish Jeremy explained and answered any questions I had. He did a great job installing four ceiling fans where there were no existing light fixture. I would definitely use Mr. Electric again and he Guly recommend him to all my family and friends. Thank you for the great experience working with Me. Electric of Clark County.
Sean did a fantastic job on the circuit breaker repair; I am pleased with his work in our house. More importantly, Sean was a great educator on the details of our electric issues and a pretty efficient worker. Hopefully, there will be no more issues with our fridge breaker, but for any other electric concerns, we will have him back for sure.
"Bait and Switch," "Predatory Pricing, " and "Gouging," -- Mr. Electric of Seattle employs all of these horrible tactics. They charge a diagnostics fee just to show up on site ($89+tax), but when they arrive, the basic diagnostics fee suddenly became nearly $500 and the $89 was just to show up. Replacing a single outlet was a fixed price job, but the fixed price was about 4x what you'd pay a better-trained independent electrician. The attached photo shows the new "basic diagnostic" fee, including the member price that they will grant you if you sign up to pay them a subscription. "Give us money often, and we'll screw you slightly less!" Then they start piling on the extras, like verbally suggesting another $500 to verify their own fix. When you push back, you get the, "It costs the company $500 just to send me out here, and my time is worth $250-500 an hour." It got so ridiculous that I fired him on the spot, sent him away, and ate the $89+tax show-up fee. An independent electrician will do the same job better for a fraction of the cost that Mr. Electric wanted, with the same warranty. Please avoid these predatory tactics and instead call a local, independent electrician. To cap it off, he put a "Mr. Electric" sticker on our breaker panel before being authorized to do any work, and without asking us first. Look at their snarky responses to poor reviews below, like, "Thank you for the review of services you did not use," when a reviewer complained about their shifty pricing. Their unprofessional, defensive responses to critical feedback are an indicator of the lack of integrity at Mr. Electric that caused my poor experience today. I hope my experience saves you the time and money I wasted on Mr. Electric today. UPDATED: With $1K on the screen in the attached photo, and Mr. Electric talking about another $1K+ to complete the job, I fired him and with with another electrician. Here's a link to my review of them. Compare and contrast with the above, and I got it done the following day for about 1/3rd of what Mr. Electric was trying to extort us for! https://maps.app.goo.gl/D62m7swsNQXcYT837
