Ryan was great - communicated well, set expectations after the initial consultation, and did quality work. We had some odds and ends (cracked caulking and a stuck door) but mainly wanted to tackle a few drywall holes (1’ x 1’ approx.). We’ve tried drywalling ourselves in the past and appreciate the time and labor that goes into building the skill and each time it’s exercised. It looks great.
In the summer of 2024, I contracted with Mr. Handyman to complete a number of items noted in an inspection report (I had an inspection done because I want to live many, many years in this house and want to be proactive about repairs/updates). Over the course of the summer, there were many instances of me calling for updates and there were either excuses or they did not call me back. I had to keep initiating communication constantly. There were numerous visits because they could not seem to obtain all the materials; ie, they would order a couple of things and not order other items until I called and reminded them. On one visit, the two workers arrived to complete some painting; they did not have the paint (!). At the many visits, I kept reminding the workers (as well as Josh, the owner, when I was able to chat with him) about the loose shingles on the roof. I asked several times for before and after pics when they went up there to fix the loose shingles originally found by the inspector. They kept putting me off. Finally, on the last visit, Sept 19, 2024, they went up to the roof to put on a storm collar. They then billed me the final invoice withOUT pictures showing the before and after of the loose shingles. I emailed that evening, addressed to Josh, asking for the pics. Josh did not communicate with me; Logan did. He sent pics of the entire roof, not the shingles that had supposedly been repaired. I resent the pics of the loose shingles from the inspector report. Logan then called and said the he knows it's hard for me to understand, but the shingles just reattach themselves (!?!). Logan eventually stated that he'll have Josh call me. I did not hear from Josh. On Jan 7, 2026 (16 months later!), Josh called and left a message that he has a new bookkeeper and they are cleaning up the invoices. He left another message on Jan 10, 2026. I reviewed my notes and records from 2024. I called him back on Jan 12, 2026. The AI person that answered is named Ellie and repeatedly called me 'John' (I am Jan). This time, Josh called me back quickly. He asked for payment. I stated that the job was never completed. He repeatedly stated that Mr. Handyman had sent pics of the completed work (the pics they had sent were of the entire roof, with no detail, to indicate if any shingles were attached or which ones) in Sept. 2024. I referred him to my emails of Sept 19 and 20 of 2024; he had never read these. He stated that those were in the completed email folder, so he didn't know that I did not believe the job was done. He stated that Logan does not work there anymore; that seemed to him to be an excuse. He was argumentative. He wanted to send one of his workers out to go up on the roof. I repeatedly stated that they have no credibility with me. He then wanted to send a roofing company out. I do not want any of his people/associates here, as they have no credibility with me. On Jan 11, 2026, two water spots appeared on the ceiling in the sitting area off my kitchen. Bone Dry Roofing had put on my roof in 2020. They are coming out tomorrow, Jan 13, 2026, to look. Josh stated that he does not have a relationship with Bone Dry. I asked for an itemized bill. Josh stated that they do not do itemized bills. I eventually (ONE hour total on the phone tonight) asked for a discount of the remaining balance (I had paid them majority of the bill previously). He at first refused any discount. We eventually came to an agreement on a small discount.
Cory Rapp did an outstanding job repairing our sliding door. He went above and beyond to ensure that it worked properly. Great customer service. Highly recommend.
Cory came on schedule and fixed 4 items in our home. Very pleasant and worked diligently on our repairs. Glad to have them fixed. Would definitely hire Cory again.
Mr. Cory at Mr. Handyman was super quick, professional, and personable! He caulked both our kitchen and bathroom and tolerated working around a full house + cat so well. The work looks fantastic and now I can rest easy knowing the work was done well. It was a pleasure working with him and we’ll definitely be repeat customers!
