I’ve used Needles and Pins several times, and the owner is always professional and straightforward — in the best way. When I asked her to take two inches off a pair of slacks, she insisted I try them on first, saying, “I want to do a good job for you.” That attention to detail shows in her work. I had six pairs taken in at the waist and one hemmed, and every pair fit perfectly when I picked them up. I’ve already dropped off more clothes for adjustments because I trust her quality and precision. With the holidays coming up and party season around the corner, I’d suggest getting your items to her early — I’m clearly not the only one who knows how good she is!

I have been using Needles and Pins Alterations for a while now and Sofiya has been a pleasure to work with. I can do my own alterations, but sometimes life just gets in the way and I take my items to her. For those who aren’t familiar with how alterations work, most tailors charge a minimum of $20 per hour plus the cost of supplies and overhead. I used a custom seamstress a few years ago and she charged $65 per hour, but she was custom. I wouldn’t use anyone but Sofiya for my alterations.

Came in for the first time wanting a romper turned into a top. Literally just needed the crotch cut & hemmed. The lady was so rude… rolling her eyes and saying it’s too much work. She did say she would take it after all but considering her attitude I decided not to mess with it. Giving 3 stars bc maybe it would have ended well giving the benefit of the doubt but if you want to feel stupid come here! 🙃

The customer service is poor. After my initial alterations here to the length and neckline of my dress, I decided that I’d like the neckline to be taken up an inch further. The woman running the store had previously told me that it was an easy fix that would take ten minutes. I dropped off the dress and told her that I’d pick it up the next day around 11:45 to 11:50. I had a situation at work that I needed to handle that delayed me until 12:15. The moment that I walked into the store, instead of greeting me, the woman immediately told me that she’d been waiting for me too long and to “find another place” to get my alterations done from here on out. This level of reaction was unwarranted, and I look forward to finding a more courteous tailor.

She done a Great job on my dress. I felt her prices was a little on the high side for the work she done. I took a dress to her to have it altered so it would be shorter. Never the less she delivered and I was pleased.
