The physician I saw was excellent. She asked the right questions, listened to me, and was professional. I entered all the information they required online ahead of my visit which was easier for me. There are two reason reasons I gave it four stars instead of five: 1. The wait was really long; much more than an hour. I had the feeling somebody may have called in sick and she was doing double duty. 2. They did not separate sick, possibly contagious patients from other patients. When I see my primary care physician, the first thing they ask is do you have a cough? Do you have a fever? Are you having Trouble breathing? If they feel you might be contagious, they immediately Isolate you and put you in a room away from others. They didn’t do that at urgent care, and there were several people in there coughing. I always carry an extra mask with me so I put it on.

Don’t come here, I took my daughter here on a Friday to get her finger stitched from a cut. They fell out Sunday night. Called the clinic to let them know that the came out. They told me to come in so they could check her finger. I didn’t think that I would be charged for a follow up on the stitches but the did. They automatically took the money out of account for that “visit”. I tried calling to explain what happened but they still considered it a visit. What a waste of money.

Last week, I had a very positive visit at NextCare Urgent care -Austin Highway. FNP Daja Hernandez was absolute joy. She’s efficient, wise and thoughtful. My pansinusitis was immediately taken care of, and I was so grateful being under her care. Also the lady in front desk was patient and kind.

I found that NextCare is in the VA’s network helping me avoid the VA’s hassle and wait times. Making an appointment at NextCare is fast and easy on your cell phone and their fast, professional, and friendly service is exceptional. My situation involved having a CT scan and NextCare set me up with Methodist ER, also on the VA’s network that helped me with all the labs and tests I needed. Doctors and staff there were also super professional and helpful. Having started off the day not feeling well turned into a lot better day after visiting NextCare and Methodist ER. . . If you are a veteran that normally goes to the VA and need quick service, avoid the hassle, and seek out these places in the community backed by the VA.

Nice admitting nurse and very professional A. Bali, FNP, who was attending my needs. She was a great listener and took her time to evaluate my condition. I didn't feel rushed or pressured. Her diagnosis was spot on and I received all the help I was hoping for. The facility (on Austin Hwy) is clean and well organized. I am glad I went there and not somewhere else.
