I came to this shop just to fix my Ray-Ban sunglasses. The staff at the front desk were super friendly. Roger fixed my glasses in under 10 minutes. Now they look brand-new again. Thank you guys so much!
I had an amazing experience here. I was VERY scared going in because I hadn’t had an eye exam in years. The staff was BEYOND helpful. I didn’t know I had vision insurance and they looked it up for me and walked me through everything. The prices here are affordable even if you don’t have insurance. Best of all, their glasses options are amazing. I really recommend this place. I felt so safe and seen here by the staff!! The parking lot is massive and they will validate your parking. Thank you, Optikos.
The level of customer service received was completely unprofessional. If Mark is unwilling to fulfill his responsibilities, it may be necessary to reconsider his employment. This kind of behavior reflects poorly on the business.
The optometrist was curt and condescending. Very unprofessional. Showed up to my appointment with a red eye and explicitly mentioned this to the front desk staff and asked if it would be an issue. Was told that the optometrist would let me know if we can proceed with the appt or if I should change it to a “medical appointment” with the optometrist. Went in to see the optometrist and she was very rude and condescending to me. Didn’t even smile or greet me warmly when she called me back. I immediately felt like this wasn’t going to be a pleasant experience from the initial interaction. I sat down in the chair and the optometrist said “your eye is red” and I stated that the red eye occurred this morning (the morning of the appt). I honestly didn’t know I could not continue the appointment due to a red eye and didn’t know it was a big deal. She told me that my vision could be compromised due to the red eye and that i couldn’t do the exam until it was cleared. She told me I can see her as a “medical appointment” (which would be an additional charge) where they see why my eye is red. I told her I already have an appointment with my PCP after the optometry appointment and I didn’t want to cancel that one. The optometrist then said “but you want to cancel your appointment with ME?” and looked at me in annoyance. Appalled and too stunned to object after that statement I quietly thought “Why would I pay extra money for you to tell me what’s wrong with my eye when I don’t have to pay my PCP to tell me?”. I also had other concerns I needed to speak to my PCP about so NO, I wasn’t going to cancel my appointment with my PCP. She then abruptly got up and said “let’s go reschedule you” and proceeded to rush out of the room before I could even gather my belongings. Alone in the room I thought “I’ll never come back here”. I apologized to the front desk staff (who were so kind to me) for wasting time. Would’ve rebooked at a later date but the experience with the optometrist was so bad that I never want to go back there. Felt very racially charged and I hate to be in health spaces where I feel I’m not going to get the best care due to my skin color versus the doctors. So I am now going to a different optometrist and couldn’t be happier. Optikos needs to reevaluate the way the optometrist treats patients of color. I should’ve never felt like this when going in for a routine eye exam. Extremely disappointed that in 2025 we are here.
They said that my insurance covered the visit and the contacts so I booked the visit a month in advance. I followed the instructions from the eye insurance company to call them ahead of time to find out if my insurance was accepted. My daughter and my roommate need eye exams also. I walked 20 minutes from my home in the heat to the appointment. When I got there I was told that they did not accept my insurance. I would have to pay for it and then do a super bill. It seemed like a set up. I will not go back. Expect to pay for services and if you have insurance they may try to have you pay anyway.
