We wanted to like this. Came with a group of five from Ohio and California. Three of us couldn’t eat half our portions because it was intolerably spicy. It wasn’t worth acid reflux! The sides were the best part: roasted Brussels sprouts were delicious, as was the squash with cheese and greens. We don’t recommend the mains as mentioned above. We had 3 pastas with crab, a gnocchette and short ribs. Out of politeness we took the leftovers home. The pizza was very good and not spicy. I was jealous that I didn’t order that. The scallops were praised by the fifth person in our group. The desserts were decent, chocolate torte and grasshopper. The main courses were a major disappointment, sorry to say. Service was kind and friendly. As others have said, this seems to have little to do with the Italian cooking we all know and love. I’ve been all over Italy and the food isn’t this spicy. It seems this place is going for some sort of hybrid cuisine that combines elements of Italian ingredients with New Orleans spiciness. I found it strange, disappointing, and not to my liking. I wouldn’t go back.
Atmosphere was awesome. Drinks and service also great. For food we got the wood fired oysters and truffle arancini. They were a bit underwhelming. For our entrees we got the Radiatori & the Cresto de Gallo both of which were awesome. Would definitely come back.
Lovely experience, servers were very attentive & very helpful with menu. Party of 2. Did two apps for happy hour Black Truffle Arancini & Burrata con Panna, Entrees were the Grilled Lamb Chops & a special; Braised Short Rib Rigatoni & Brussel sprouts. Deliciousssssss.. I can’t tell you the name of our dessert, but it was thoroughly enjoyed. Definitely look forward to trying more from Osteria
I was in town for a 3-day conference and ended up coming here TWICE because the food was so spectacular! I came with a different group each time, and everyone was raving. From the pastas made in-house, to the creative pairings of fun and vibrant flavors - looking at you, bluefin crudo - to the perfectly cooked hanger steak and crispy potatoes - everything was tremendous. Our servers, Ashley and Erin, were friendly, took amazing care of our tables, and made the whole experience super memorable. If I could give this place six stars, I would!!
We had a lovely time at Osteria Lupo! First of all, the atmosphere is beautiful and they offer some of the best service I experienced. We had the tasting menu with multiple courses and our table was kept clean the whole time. They were also very knowledgable about the menu and asked about any allergies. The food was delicious. My favorites were both pastas pictured, and the pizza. Desserts, I could pass on. Will definitely go back!
