My husband and I seek out and participate in free walking tours when we first arrive in a new city to get our footing on history, culture and attractions. Almost without exception, we find these free tours (pay what you feel the tour is worth to you at the end) are led by highly knowledgeable and entertaining tour guides. Our Ottawa tour on June 14 led by Craig, the owner, was exceptionally enjoyable and enlightening, definitely a highlight of our visit to Ottawa. A native of Ottawa, he is very knowledgeable about the history, culture, government and offered great tips on attractions, things to do. Many thanks Craig.

What an excellent tour guide is Laura. Extremely knowledgeable, informative and engaging, we spent an entertaining 2 hours in her company as she showed us parts of Ottawa we would never have discovered on our own. Very enthusiastic about “her” city, can’t recommend her too highly.

My husband and I had a great experience with Ottawa Walking Tours! We took a private walking tour of Ottawa with guide Sophia. She is from Ottawa and gave us not only the area history but a lot of local insight. The tour was well-organized and very interesting! We learned a great deal about Ottawa as well as Ontario and Canada overall!

Our tour guide was so friendly and knowledgeable. We absolutely enjoyed everything about our tour. Such an educational and fun experience, we would do it again without question. Worth every cent learned so much.

I thoroughly enjoyed the walking tour hosted by Craig. He was friendly, patient and informative. He did a great job during the historic highlights walking tour for me and my brother. I would recommend him to anyone else who is visiting the Ottawa area.
