FIRST: Notice how the firm only responds to the positive reviews and not any of the negative reviews (all of which complain of the same poor communication). This is a joke of a personal injury firm. I’ve been represented by them twice, the second case is ongoing still but the communication throughout this entire process has been incredibly lacking. During my first case, I had to pester Cynthia Robinson (the first of four paralegals assigned to my case) with weeks of follow up emails to get simple questions answered. Eventually I just left a bad review and finally had the honor of speaking with the attorney initially assigned to my case, Damien Smith, 18 months after my first case was filed with them. He immediately reprimanded me for my negative review and asked me to consider removing it. I found this distasteful and inappropriate considering that Cynthia had continually failed to communicate with me and even missed a call that SHE scheduled. Regarding calls, I have asked multiple times for my case to be communicated to me via email as I can’t take calls during my work day and they’ve continually failed to take that into account. I’ve asked several times. The last straw for me has been with this final case. The statue of limitation had passed and I’d received NO update from Price Benowitz regarding the status of my case. I, as I’ve always had to with PB, reached out and was shocked to discover that an entirely new attorney had been assigned to my case! No one thought to update me, which is funny because just this past Autumn I asked PB over the phone if they could assign someone other than Damien to my case because he’s really unpleasant and condescending to work with (really hated that I wanted to follow my doctors treatment plan instead of bothering her for unnecessary imaging - I’m not trying to take advantage of the system) and they told me that no one else could take my case. In addition, I received an annoying email asking me to confirm I got some free merch from PB. They’d sent it to an old address, in spite of me having given them my updated address and having had received mail at this new address. Price Benowitz over all had given me the impression of a disorganized, over extended law firm and having worked with them on TWO cases I can say with absolute certainty that I’d NEVER recommend Price Benowitz for representation for PI in Virginia. There are dozens of better firms and attorneys. They managed to net me $2k more than what insurance offered out the gate 2 years later and many, many headaches with communication. They’ve never offered me docket number or anything related to my case unless I ask either. You can work with them, but be prepared to send several follow up emails and expect to wait at least a week to hear back from their paralegals unless you’re super annoying.

I had a really great experience with this law firm. Makayla was amazing from start to finish. She stayed in communication with me throughout the entire process, kept me updated, and took the time to explain everything in a very detailed and understandable way.What really meant the most to me was that she genuinely listened to me especially during moments when I was in pain and struggling after my car accident. It made a huge difference to feel like I had someone who cared, not just about the case, but about me as a person. I’m grateful to have had someone who not only handled my case professionally, but also showed compassion during a really difficult time. I would definitely recommend this firm to anyone who needs legal help after an accident.
