All Points to Perfection Pt. Leo Estate is the ultimate destination for food, art, and wine lovers. With a vast selection of house wines, beautifully executed dishes, and exclusive art pieces, it is one of those places that makes you nod and agree that genuine passion sits behind every project. I had the chance to experience the menu, and honestly, every dish was executed flawlessly. The cooking leans modern, with clear inspiration drawn from Asian cuisine. The King Crab Pasta instantly brought me back to the flavours of otak-otak, while the fish curry tasted like a solid Japanese curry. Don’t worry about the fundamentals either. My eye fillet steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare, the sauces were well balanced and unbroken, and the pasta texture was spot on. The overall restaurant experience elevates it even further. The staff clearly know what they are doing. They are confident, engaging, and genuinely fun to interact with. Dining with views over the sculpture park, with iconic pieces like KAWS standing tall against the horizon, paired with their house wine, is close to faultless. Overall, this is the ultimate place to visit if you are looking for a winery experience in Mornington.
Couldn’t recommend this place more highly!! The food and wine were exceptional and I’d like to give a special shout out to Liam, Amanda and Nadia who went above and beyond to make our experience perfect. Liam curated a personalised wine pairing for each of our courses - he was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The wines complemented the courses beautifully! Nadia and Amanda - what gorgeous ladies serving and so helpful in advising us on the perfect gift for our friends, an asset to Pt Leo. Thank you all so much, we’re from the UK, but we will definitely be back!
What a stunning place! We had such a wonderful time exploring the beautiful gardens. Everything was absolutely immaculate — the grounds are so well maintained, spotless, and full of life. We loved walking through the gardens, admiring the incredible sculptures, and taking the time to read about each and every one of them. It was such a peaceful and inspiring experience. We also enjoyed a fantastic wine tasting. The sommelier was excellent — knowledgeable, engaging, and full of passion for the wines. We learned so much, and obviously had to buy a bottle to take home. It was a perfect experience from start to finish. Five out of five — brilliant in every way. Thank you for such a memorable visit!
What a stunning location in nice weather. As a Google reviewer my main interest is the cuisine. I had the pleasure of attending a formal 3 course lunch and I was impressed most especially by the degree in which the chef's source from the local region! Down to the salad leaves! 🥗 As I appreciate the snapper is local, I think the chefs could do it better justice than grilling as the corners dry too much. I know a batter or crumb wouldn't look as fancy but it may keep the moisture in a bit better. Whilst I found the diners a little bit la-dee-da and pretentious that's not in control of the owners. This just might be because I am from interstate and not used to Victorians haha. It might also be because the Australian cuisine is 🇫🇷French inspired. Photos of dishes in order: 🐟 Yellowfin tuna eschabeche, olasgati anchovies, pickled quindilla and oxheart tomatoes 🍥 Savoury burnt basque cheesecake, heirloom carrots 🎏 Wood roasted snapper, estate NV sparkling beurre blanc, toasted almonds, charred broccolini 🥩 Flinders+Co "Vintage reserve" beef eye fillet, sauce au poirvre vert, charred shallots, brandy 🍮 Passionfruit cremeux, caramel sauce, mango sorbet, elderflower
A group of us came to Pt. Leo Estate in Flinders on a Saturday afternoon for a birthday lunch. The winery is situated on Victoria's pristine Mornington Peninsula and the estate is home to 50 acres of vines, sculpture park and restaurant. It is a really idealic and beautiful location, in which the restaurant and winery overlook the vineyards and bay. On arrival, I joined the birthday girl and others at the bar, whilst waiting for our restaurant table to be ready. A bartender told me that I wouldn't be allowed to sit at the bar, as we had reached our maximum capacity of group of 7. After looking around and seeing about 30 available seats from nearby tables, and counting 7 of us at the bar, she said that it was okay for me to stay there. This was a bit of a negative experience as her attitude towards me felt very hostile, and not a pleasant way to be greeted. After being seated for lunch at around 1:30pm, we were guided through the menu by a waiter, and we all ordered our drinks and selected our mains. Despite our booking being from 1:30pm for lunch, we did not receive our entrees until 2:48pm, so it was a very long wait. Our main meals did not arrive until 3:36pm, and dessert arrived at 4:14pm. Fortunately, we were all enjoying ourselves and the dining experience, but that is far too long to be waiting for our food, especially since we had pre-booked this birthday event months in advance. Additionally, there were 4 people on our table with dietary requirements. The waiter (accidentally) made an error and gave one of the celiac girls an entree with gluten in it, which could have been quite detrimental to her had she eaten it. After alerting the staff of this, they were quite apologetic and the manager came up to her personally to apologise and inform her that she had reminded the waiters and kitchen staff of our table's dietary intolerances and allergies. They were kind enough to waive the fee for some of our hot beverages as a compensation for making the dietary error. After our dining experience, we went for a short walk to look at the sculpture park. It was a very windy and chilly day, so we didn't stick around for too long after that. Overall, Pt. Leo Estate is a very beautiful estate with winery and vineyard. The food was tasty, but the wait times were extremely long. The customer service was reasonable, but at times needed improvement in terms of friendliness and ensuring dietary intolerances were considered.
