I drive over an hour for my dog to be seen at RRVC, and it is 100% worth the trip. These are the most knowledgeable, professional, and kind veterinarians in the state. Plus the clinic is very clean! Your pet is in good hands with Dr. Smith and his team.
I’ve been coming to Richmond road vet with my senior dog for about three years. I have never felt more compassion an understanding from a vets office the way I have with this one. Koda came from my brother who didn’t take good care of her at all before I took her from him. RRVC never looked at me strange for the condition she was in, especially not after I told them her story, they just helped me get her better and understood that I loved this dog more than anything. Koda has had a lot of issues, ranging from UTIs, ear infections, dental surgery, tumors, to upset bellies and more. The vets here have always taken care of her and been patient with her. They get down and give her pet pets like she’s just as much theirs as she is mine and they have cried for her when things weren’t looking good. I’ve had some vets try to convince me to put her down just because she’s having a hard time being older but I have never felt pressured with RRVC. They know that if that’s what Koda needs, we’ll be ready then, but they know she’s not ready for that and that I am especially not ready for that. They know she’s my baby and that she’s doing her best and then meet her where she is. I don’t think I’ll ever trust another vet the way I trust this one. I hope everyone there knows how much the Adkins family appreciates them.
I appreciate Richmond Rd Vet who was able to see my dog, Daisy, who needed her glands done. They did so without a full medical exam as she hasn't had one there for a while. She currently sees an internist for several complicated health issues. However, I really appreciate a place to take her for her glands issue and paying a reasonable price for the service! Thank you Richmond Road Vet!
I had to bring my cat, Tubby, into the clinic as he was extremely not himself. Dr. Hancock was absolutely amazing as well as the rest of the staff. Dr. Hancock was able to draw his blood very quickly and it seemed almost painlessly for my fur baby. The technician, Kathryn, handled him in a way that made him feel comfortable and allowed her to provide him fluids and injections. He was dehydrated, running a fever, and diagnosed with a bacterial infection. Dr. Hancock reviewed the blood work with me and was very reassuring when it came to the test results. I definitely recommend this clinic for all of your fur baby needs. The cost was reasonable and did not make me feel as if I were breaking the bank. Absolutely worth it!!!
My friend who was ill asked me to take her 8 lbs fur Baby. To this Vet office. Twice once for ears with staff no Doc needed. then Doc Apt Next day. I must say how impressed I was with the staff 1st day little Cody went right with the nurse. Next Day. Was just as nice . Got there was late . And apologized. They were fine I sat down then called back for doctor's apt. Sat in a small clean room. 2 Ladies came in got Cody and checked him. They were very thorough. Extremely nice explained everything to me so I can share with my friend. This was a very very nice veterinarians office I was impressed with the veterinarian and her assistant. This is an awesome office very clean. To I even suggested that I might even bring my pets there as I have taken my pets for over 25 years to a different veterinarian whom I love, yet now is on the other side of town. So l have options , that's how much I liked this Vet Clinic. So if you're thinking of a new vet and you're close to Richmond road this is a great one for you. Hope this helps your decision if you were looking for one.
