We are now enjoying Family Camp, again, with our Grandchildren. It’s a very special place with terrific people and fun activities for all ages. Proud to be a Friend of Family Camp.
Food was amazing and the whole place feels like home.
A very special place with helpful staff and tasty food. The Tuolumne River goes right through the camp! BONUS: Rainbow pools is a short walk across (under) the highway.
Thank you San Jose Family Camp, my family and i had a great weekend. Day 1 we had a great breakfast and shot arrows and played human Foosball. After dinner (we liked the salad bar) we went to the Camp fire and sang the old classic songs and some of the modern ones. this was reminiscent of growing up. now my kids will have the experience. on day 2 we left camp after another great breakfast. we toured Yosemite valley and laid under El Capitain. Thank You SJFC, the weekends are too short. we plan on returning next year.
This was our fifth year at SJFC. It's a good camp, run by the city of SJ. I'm not sure if the city of San Jose is the best organization to run a camp since they are basically running the actual city into the ground, but it's fun, it's right outside of Yosemite (my kids just call it "the woods" and there's a natural pool and river my kids love to play in. You sleep in tent cabins, breakfast lunch and dinner and all activities are included. There's a small store to buy ice cream, various SJFC swag (we always buy t-shirts to tye dye as our souvenir) and things like drinks, sunscreen, toiletries etc. Staff is friendly and always have a smile for us campers. Food is better than in years past but don't expect four star cuisine. It's camp food and you didn't have to make it, so that is a big plus in my book. Bring solid inner tubes to float down the river (which is shallow enough to stand up in but has current and the kids love the "rapids", your camping chair so you can stick your feet in the water while reading a book, plenty of sunscreen and smiles for all the memories you will make with your family and friends.
