In one word - amazing! A wonderful place to stay while visiting the Phoenix/Scottsdale area.Comfortable rooms, excellent service, incredible drinks and a breathtaking view nestled at the north base of Camelback Mountain. Very relaxing and highly recommended!
This was a wonderful experience! The property is absolutely beautiful, the rooms are very clean and spacious, as well as decorated very nicely with a fireplace in some! But what really sets this place apart is the staff. Everyone was so attentive, kind, cheerful. The food at the on-site restaurant elements, was absolutely delicious. We also got massages and the lady who did them was fantastic. Honestly, staying here was better than staying at the Ritz or four seasons, they treat you like royalty.
I got a 120 minute massage as a Christmas gift. The service was horrible for the price! I get there and when I check in they just tell me to go in the back and wait. No one came after 20 minutes so I had to go ask what was going to happen. The lady in there was actually nice and told me no one told her I was there. The amenities were nothing special and very small. The lady who gave me the massage was basically rubbing oil on my body, no pressure whatsoever. I got so frustrated and finally asked her do go deeper and add more pressure, it lasted just a few minutes and then she went back to caressing my body. The scalp and top of the body part of the massage was even worse, the lady was just tapping my face and not applying any pressure. She also mentioned that her belly rubs were her specialty and asked if I’d like to try it, she basically placed her palm and moved it around my belly and that was it. I have been to other luxury spas in Scottsdale and I was looking forward to this place but was so dissatisfied with the service. My husband’s total was almost $600 with gratuity for a massage that was not worth a tenth of what I paid. I wanted to go back and adjust the tip because they make you add 20% before even getting the massage but the ladies at the desk didn’t say anything and acted rude when I said my massage was just okay so I just left it that way. I’ve gotten better scalp massages for $25 dollars at the mall. I hate writing negative reviews but it was such a waste of money.
Rooms are nice, especially the suites. Beds are super comfortable. Location and proximity to Old Town Scottsdale is hard to beat. Food and spa services were enjoyable too! It’s just far from 5 stars. There are kids running things at the front, don’t expect premium hospitality. The pool was disappointing as it’s small and the layout at times reminds me of motel pools. There is no separate chaise lounge cover, and once they even ran out of towels altogether. The resort also lacks amenities and common areas, unless you’re into tennis/spa/pickleball. Sadly, I didn’t fully love our stay here, especially with at this price and having high expectations, and won’t be coming back.
I am writing to express my deep disappointment regarding my recent reservation experience. On the day of check-in, I received a call stating that my reserved room was unavailable due to water damage. While I understand that unforeseen maintenance issues can occur, the way this was handled was extremely concerning. I was offered a downgraded room as an alternative, with the explanation that I would receive additional daily credit in lieu of a rate adjustment. However, the rate I paid was already based on a last-minute booking, and no reduction was made despite the downgrade. In other words, I am now paying the full price for a lesser room. What makes this situation even more troubling is that, as of this writing, the upgraded room I originally booked still appears as available on your website. This raises serious concerns about transparency and business practices. It suggests one of two possibilities: 1.The property continues to advertise rooms that are not actually available, misleading potential guests. 2. Certain guests are being selectively reassigned or treated unfairly. Neither scenario reflects the integrity or professionalism one would expect from your establishment. I am requesting a full review of this incident and a clear explanation for why my original room was canceled while still being advertised as available. If I do not receive a satisfactory resolution, I intend to submit a formal complaint to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) to ensure this is not a recurring practice affecting other guests.
