Hollywood… I truly can’t say enough good things to even begin to match the level of service he provides. From start to finish, he was professional, warm, and incredibly attentive—making the entire experience feel personal and effortless. He absolutely nailed my daughter’s raccoon-tail vision, perfectly complementing her curly ginger hair, and somehow managed to guide me through my grey transition in a way that felt natural, flattering, and—honestly—like it was my idea all along. As someone who came in lacking confidence, I left feeling completely seen and genuinely excited about my hair. Perfection doesn’t even cover it. If you’re on the fence, don’t be. Hollywood is exceptional I didn’t even grab the exceptional lady who did my brows but also perfect
Hollywood did an AMAZING job on my hair! Amazing conversations & just overall an amazing experience! Would DEFINITELY recommend & will be coming back again! My hair has never looked, nor felt better
I had high hopes based on their reviews, but my experience at Shake Hair Salon left me feeling unheard, uncomfortable, and disappointed. I had booked an appointment here (the morning of October 25) after reading the Google reviews seeing that there were many positive reviews I thought I would give Shake Hair Salon a try. My experience was not good. I know after the cut I should have gone immediately back in and asked for a refund as it was not the haircut I had asked for. I had shown the hairdresser my inspo picture telling him that I wanted my hair to hang above my shoulders with lots of texture and for my bangs to be blended more into my other hair to frame my face better. He said he could do that. It was not done well at all. The hairdresser had asked if he could use a razor to get a more textured look; I agreed, but it felt like my fine hair was being pulled out and it was very uncomfortable. The cut was hanging past my shoulders I know I could have asked for it to be trimmed shorter but I was so uncomfortable and just wanted my experience to end so I could go, so I let it slide. My bangs he did not touch the entire cut, they were not layered into my haircut. He was about to take the cape off when I asked him if he could just cut them so they hung slightly above my eyebrows (I wear glasses my bangs were long and getting in my glasses). Key word I asked for them to be Cut the next thing I know he had pulled out a razor and proceeded to use that to 'texture' my hair. I felt like I was about to cry right then, the now micro bangs were sticking straight up looking like an animal had chewed them right in the middle of my forehead. I felt ready to cry as that was not what I had asked for. I couldn't even ask for him to stop because it had already been done. You know it is not a good look at all, when the receptionist at the front desk kept doing a double take straight to my bangs, telling me 'I really love your haircut especially the bangs they look so cute.' My hair did not look or feel 'Cute'. For the haircut, I was quoted around $65. When the receptionist rang up my price I was not given an option for whether I wanted to tip or not, my price was almost $90. This was not what I was expecting and was not disclosed to me, catching me off guard. I left the salon feeling extremely uncomfortable, disappointed, and embarrassed. I didn't feel listened to, the final results being far from what I had asked for. The lack of transparency around pricing and tipping only added to the discomfort. I would appreciate it if the salon would review how they handle client requests and billing transparency, especially when the outcome doesn't reflect what was discussed.
I had the pleasure of meeting Hollywood today. I was a super last-minute walk in and he was incredible right from the beginning. He helped me figure out what cut would best suit me as well as my low maintenance lifestyle. He made me feel very comfortable and beautiful. He is definitely gifted with her and I really enjoyed having him as my barber. Will definitely be back again.
I booked an appointment with a stylist over the phone. This stylist told me they are a master stylist and made sure to give me their name for a sat morning appointment. When I arrived, they had double booked themselves and couldn’t do my hair as there was a client in the chair already. At the time I was Thankful There was a stylist available, as I had come from out of town, so I was happy. I wanted a partial head of foils, consisting of a full money piece to the scalp and teasy lights. My only request with tone was that my hair was not yellow. But when I came to the final look the front of my hair was YELLOW!! The stylist told me that the hair was done processing and did not look yellow when she rinsed & toned it. I did advise her of this and she just said well it was done processing. Clearly it was not, see pictures. Not only is the front yellow, she didn’t give me the money piece and the highlights on the side of face weren’t even to the scalp or blended up. This is the front of my hair, the place clients see first. As soon as the stylist realized it was yellow she could have toned it differently or done anything other than tell me it wasn’t yellow. When I mentioned this at the front desk They did take $40 off my price, which to my surprise was way more than quoted. No change of cost was discussed with me. I am not happy. The only saving grace for me is that I am also a hairstylist (who doesn’t work in a salon anymore) and I can at least fix my own hair. Others might not be so lucky
