I can’t recommend Silverlake Wine enough! We did a private group tasting and had an amazing time. The staff is super friendly, very communicative while planning for our event and made us feel so welcome while we were there. Highly recommend going in for a tasting!
I didn’t really know what I was looking for when I walked in, just knew I needed a good bottle to take to a dinner party. One of the guys there asked me a couple questions about the food (it was like roasted chicken and stuff), then pointed me to some chilled white wine from Spain I’d never even heard of and wow, that wine was a total hit. Super light, crisp, and had just the right amount of funk to feel fancy without being too much. People at the dinner kept asking me where I got it. The whole place had a relaxed vibe, not pretentious at all. I’ll for sure be coming back next time I need to look like I know what I’m doing lol.
Extremely disappointed with customer service today. I walked in to purchase a wine that I had previously purchased there. Bro said he never had heard of it and blew me off. Very surprised at this arrogant attitude. It would have gone a long way if he had shown interest in this particular grape. I gave the name in two different languages. His attitude was very unwelcoming. As a person of color I can not recommend this establishment. It just seemed like old fashioned racism. I must add, I've been here before and this was not my experience.
My friend told me about their Thursday night wine tastings, so I decided it check it out. I tried the wine tasting with about 5 glasses and it wasn’t that bad at all for $20. The crowd was really chill and a great vibe overall. There was a whole lot of $20 or less wines in store that you could drink also. I’d definitely come back to try some of their other cabs and other wine tasting offerings.
They sell wines, spirits (Brandy, Rum, Liqueur, Borbon, Whisky, etc.), food, and glassware, etc. I think on Thursdays, Sundays, and Mondays they have wine tastings. ~Experience~ As I walked in I was overwhelmed, I saw wine everywhere! I was approached by one of the staff, I wish I got her name. She was patient, friendly, helpful, and genuine. I told her to please help me find the perfect wine for a friend. The wine needs to be red, full-bodied, and I even showed her some of the wines that I knew my friend liked. We walked around and she showed me a couple of wines. After 20 minutes of looking and talking, we found one!! My friend also likes IPA Beer so she suggested which one to get. ~Customer Service~ After I bought the wine they wrapped it beautifully in a box. On the way home, I found out that the wine that I purchased was not the right one so I drove back. The person who assisted me was with someone but she signaled me to wait. After telling her I got the wrong bottle of wine, she was happy to help me find a different one. I could tell she had the same determination that I had in finding this perfect wine. It was during the holiday so it was very busy but she still took the time to help me; she was so understanding. We looked, talked, and kept looking until we found it! After buying it, they boxed the wine and I left. ~Notes~ Street Parking
