I found Doctor Hinojosa on Zocdoc.. I have been looking for a dermatologist for a while. The office, staff, and the Doctor were very attentive, pleasant, and accommodating. Doctor Hinojosa listen and answered all and any questions I had..This was the best experience and I will be returning for all of my follow visits.

We have been loyal patients of Sonterra Dermatology for many years, always visiting their Sonterra Boulevard location. This time, we had an appointment scheduled at the Pearl location, and unfortunately, we had a very negative experience. My daughter had an appointment with Dr. Erica, and when we arrived, we were informed that they couldn’t see her because they did not have a referral from her primary doctor. We were never told beforehand that a referral was needed. They claimed they had called my daughter multiple times, but she only received appointment reminders and never a single call about a referral. I contacted our primary doctor’s office, and they confirmed they never received any request from Sonterra Dermatology at the Pearl for a referral. On top of that, the front desk staff at the Pearl location were extremely rude. They interrupted me, raised their voices, and did not let me speak. One of them even yelled at me, and I had to say that I was not trying to argue but simply explain the situation. We’ve never had such an experience at the Sonterra Boulevard location, where they have always been kind and professional. In fact, after this incident, we went back to the Sonterra Boulevard office, and they were shocked by what happened. They kindly arranged another appointment for my daughter with Dr. Erica, showing the level of care and respect we’ve always received there. In summary, my review is that the Pearl location needs to better train their front desk staff. The way we were treated was unacceptable, and it was clear that there was no proper communication or professionalism in handling the referral issue. We hope they can improve, but we will not be returning to that location.

Dr. Ramos was great at explaining what is going on with my skin, she addressed any issues or concerns that I had. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. And the wait time was not long at all, I was in and out in less than an hour. Definitely recommending to my family & friends.
