First timers aboard for Dinner and Murder Mystery Cruise. The Capitan greeted us when boarding the boat. The boat its self has history , I believe it was originally from New Orleans and had to be cut to pieces to be transported to Lake Conroe. It’s an older paddle boat that could use a little TLC but has a great antique appeal with some original design which makes it wonderful ! The staff were all welcoming and nice. The dinner was delicious! The show could use a little work but, it was still entertaining and comical even included the individuals whom attended. Very punctual as well we left on time and returned down to the minute. Overall, the experience was nice. We felt like three hours was a bit long and it could be two hours and still been great.

This is an extremely nice getaway. Barbra did a great job from the mail office booking the night and was very helpful. They are very punctual and they leave exactly when they say they’re scheduled to leave and arrive back at the dock at the scheduled time as well. The staff is very friendly And they do a good job to accommodate. Kirk, the captain was interesting and did a good job welcoming me to the ship. I think all of this good service and overall wonderful experiences start from the top as Jeff, the owner seems to be on every cruise that I’ve been on and is greeting all of the customers. He’s extremely friendly, the hospitality is amazing and if you’re looking for a good dinner cruise, this is a wonderful date night. Whether it be your first date, second date (great place for quiet conversation), engagement, or even to take your husband or wife out for the night. I think you will have a great time. My husband and I did the dinner sunset cruise tonight. It did not disappoint. The food was delicious. Well worth the money spent. We will be back

Great sunset dinner cruise throughout Lake Conroe. Food was excellent, and so were the cocktails with cash bar. Three decks to relax and take in the view. Excellent service. Stayed at nearby hotel since it wraps up at 10 pm. Would definitely return.

I recently went on the Southern Empress Cruise with a group of ladies, and we had a great time! The boat, located right next to the Wave restaurant, looked beautiful. Some past reviews mentioned it wasn’t very new or clean, but none of us had any complaints. The top deck had bench seating—some with padding—and we did wish all the benches were cushioned, but that was the only small issue. The cruise departed smoothly, and dinner was served at 7 PM. The food (chicken, potatoes, carrots, a soft roll, and strawberry shortcake) was decent—like wedding food. Not amazing, but good. A little creole seasoning would've made it great! The highlight was definitely the DJ on the second level—he kept the energy up and the music flowing. A bit more R&B and line dance music would've made it even better, or maybe a themed R&B dinner cruise in the future. The sunset views and overall vibe were unforgettable. We truly enjoyed our evening. If you're thinking about it, just go—it's a beautiful, relaxing experience worth having at least once!
