Stonehouse Vineyard has become a favorite local winery located in Alexandria, Ontario. The wines are delicious, plenty of scenic sitting areas overlooking the sheep grazing amongst the vines. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful and even took us on an impromptu tour providing their family history and lots of interesting facts regarding the production process. It is apparent they have a true passion for making quality wine.

Charming winery. The friendly owners made me feel welcome, and their wine paired perfectly with the delicious cheese from nearby Glengarry Cheesemaking. Supporting local producers has never tasted better. I highly recommend visiting this hidden gem.

Overall it was a nice place. Around 1 and a half hour away from MTL. The girl at the front was really nice. She told us abitt about the different wines but other then that she didn't give us much more information. We decided to go with the wine sampler option because unfortunately there wasn't any other option available like a vineyard tour. They didn't seem to have food that we could have maybe paired with our wine sampler or maybe they did but we weren't informed, so I suggest that if you haven't bought the packages available on the website in advance to eat before going there. The vineyard is pretty big. They had alot of seating areas all over and they also had an upstairs patio. They have 8 different wines when you can sample from, my favorite was the swenson white. If you wanted to purchase a bottle, it ranged between 20$ to 25$

I was in Alexandria to fill up my car with gas and I asked around and people pointed me towards this vineyard, I have to say it’s a hidden gem for sure, loved the ambiance of the vineyard, Joanna I believe her name was she really explained their wine to me, and was very friendly and welcoming. I tried 4 of their wines absolute heaven in a glass. I totally recommend you to stop here if you’re on a road trip or even if you’re planing to visit. So beautiful, I will be bringing my family there.
