Great place to come to for your automotive needs from oil/ fluid changes to major repairs. Family owned, friendly and fair prices. My goto spot for repairs and maintenance
Sunnyside Auto Repair has been my go-to shop for years. I trust them with every car I’ve owned, and they’ve consistently treated me with respect and fairness. They explain things clearly, never push unnecessary repairs, and their work is always top-quality. It’s rare to find a mechanic you can count on year after year, but Sunnyside has truly earned my trust and loyalty.
I was having an absolutely terrible day when my 2015 Ford Escape clunked to a stop at a red light and refused to budge another inch. Roadside assistance asked for a destination, and with zero time to research, my brother-in-law suggested Sunnyside Auto Repair. Thankfully, they were just around the corner from where I broke down—and only a mile from home. I dropped it off Saturday evening using their super convenient drop-off form, then braced myself for a long, expensive week. First thing Monday morning, Randy called, got my info, and let me know they’d get to it as soon as possible, maybe Tuesday. No problem. Sure enough, Tuesday morning Randy called again—friendly as ever—and told me it was an easy fix! Not only did they take care of the issue that left me stranded, but they also finally fixed a problem with a rubbing caliper that I had complained about to Caliber Collision, Future Ford, and Midas. Every one of those places told me it was nothing and that I was “just hearing things.” Turns out, I wasn’t imagining it—Sunnyside listened, fixed it, and gave me peace of mind. They gained my trust by doing it right the first time, treating me with respect, and not charging me an arm and a leg. If you want honest, competent mechanics who actually care about their customers, go to Sunnyside. They turned my worst day into a huge relief.
Title: Price Jump, Hidden Fees & Told Not to Return — Disappointing Experience Review: I called Sunnyside Auto Repair and they provided a brake replacement quote of $400–650. Based on that estimate, I scheduled an appointment over the phone and dropped off my 2017 Nissan Sentra the next morning. After waiting several hours, the quote jumped to $1,200, with no clear explanation. When I declined the work, I was suddenly told there was a $65 inspection fee — something that was never disclosed to me or put in writing. Only after pushing back did they waive the charge — and then told me not to come back. This was an extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience. I ended up going to the Nissan dealership, where I got OEM brake service for less money and zero drama. If you choose this shop, get all pricing in writing before agreeing to anything. I personally won’t be returning. Update/Response to Owner I stand by my original review. The facts are simple: I was quoted $400–650 for a brake replacement, then after leaving my car, the price unexpectedly jumped to $1,200 with no clear explanation. On top of that, I was told there would be a $65 inspection fee that was never disclosed before dropping off my vehicle. Only after I pushed back was that fee waived, and then I was told not to return. I’m disappointed that instead of focusing on these concerns, the response included personal remarks about me. That kind of reply speaks for itself. For anyone reading this: please be sure to get all quotes and fees in writing before leaving your car here. Transparency and professionalism should always be the standard.
