Sushi Kozy

Start to finish, Sushi Kozy is the best Japanese kaiseki inspired omakase restaurant in Dallas. Period. Manager Bronson was so informative and kind even before my dining experience happened at Sushi Kozy! I always have trouble parking in downtown Dallas but he gave me direction to where to park so because of that I could find parking in about 10 seconds. And when I walked in, he greeted me with a big smile and kind words of saying “happy anniversary” to me and my girlfriend. After that he led us to our bar seat right infront of chef Ko. And for our server David, he was very kind, also informative with all the dishes that came out and very attentive start to finish. And for the meal course? Chef Ko did not miss on anything. Every bite was heavenly. Every bite surprised me and wowed me. I swear, every bite me and my girlfriend took we looked at each other with our eyes wide open and said “wow. This is amazing.” I tried many different fancy sushi/japanese restaurant but none of them never wowed me but Sushi Kozy was different. I could tell how much effort and time was put in to each dishes that chef Ko created and I thank him and all the crews at sushi Kozy for a dining experience that I will never be able to forget. I will make sure to come back to try their other season menus as well.

An absolutely outstanding omakase experience from start to finish. Each course showcased impeccably fresh fish, prepared with precision and deep respect for flavor. The progression was thoughtful and balanced. Every bite felt intentional, highlighting the natural sweetness, umami, and texture of the fish at its peak. What truly set the evening apart, though, was the service. Hunter was exceptional—warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic about the experience. He guided us through each course with easy confidence, explaining the fish, preparation, and flavor profiles in a way that enhanced every bite without ever feeling rehearsed. His friendliness and attentiveness made the meal feel personal and welcoming, striking that rare balance between professionalism and genuine hospitality. It was a truly memorable experience.

This omakase experience felt truly special from the moment the first course arrived. Each dish had its own personality, with thoughtful combinations of flavors and textures that made every bite memorable. The presentation was stunning — vibrant colors, incredibly fresh ingredients, and plates that looked like they were crafted with real intention. I could genuinely feel the chef’s care and creativity throughout the entire meal. It’s one of those dining experiences that stays with you long after you leave. Highly recommend.

My friend and I had an AMAZING time here celebrating our birthdays. We sat at the cocktail area and had a wonderful omakase experience. The cocktail and wine list is curated with care, and it obvious they take a lot of pride in providing a unique, elevated experience. Despite the high level of execution, it’s not pretentious. Our waiter went above and beyond to make it a great experience and make us feel comfortable exploring some new foods/drinks. They have created a kind and enjoyable atmosphere that is definitely worth checking out! I will certainly be back next time I’m in Dallas.

During my short vacation in Dallas, I searched for a great restaurant to visit, and Sushi Kozy immediately stood out—so I decided to give it a try. To put it simply, this place is the best sushi omakase I’ve ever experienced in terms of taste, service, and atmosphere. Starting with the chawanmushi and the otsumami—which the chef introduced as bar bites—every dish was so memorable that I kept thinking about them long after the course ended. The sushi that followed, along with the main dishes, were equally impressive. I chose the Sea course and my companion chose the Land course, and both were absolutely perfect. And the temaki — I expected a roll because of the name, but it came out in the cutest taco shape! A tiny seaweed taco packed with incredible flavor. The desserts were also a flawless finish to the meal. My favorite was the Japanese sweet potato ice cream paired with the slightly salty miso sauce—such a unique and unforgettable combination. They also mentioned that the menu changes seasonally, which gives me the perfect reason to come back and try their new creations in the future. Sushi Kozy made my Dallas vacation feel complete — and perfectly Kozy, just like its name.😀
