Doug K My wife recently passed away, and we needed a place to host a reception for more than 150 people following her service. We had known Teresa and Leo for several years and reached out to them to see if the Tamarack Event Center could accommodate us. Teresa was absolutely phenomenal. She literally rescheduled a concert that some of the staff were planning to attend in Seattle so they could be there to support our event. From start to finish, she handled everything with incredible professionalism and kindness during a very difficult time for our family. Teresa arranged additional tent space to comfortably accommodate all of our guests. The night before the reception we brought over photos of my wife, and Teresa and her staff thoughtfully displayed them throughout the venue, which meant a great deal to us. We served heavy appetizers and the food was outstanding. Our guests repeatedly commented on how much they enjoyed the food, and many also mentioned how lovely the Tamarack was and how perfect the setting was for the gathering. During one of the most difficult times in our lives, Teresa, Leo, and their staff at the Tamarack Event Center helped create a warm and beautiful gathering to honor my wife. Their kindness, attention to detail, and professionalism meant more to our family than words can fully express. I would wholeheartedly recommend the Tamarack Event Center to anyone planning a special event.

We held our wedding at Tamarack earlier in June 2023. We called 2 months prior, not expecting much, but they had had a last minute cancellation and we were able to book the date. We were on an accelerated timeline but Teresa was so amazing, helpful, and communicative. The venue provided everything we needed for the reception and was extremely upfront about costs. She was willing to work with what we wanted, what we could afford, and worked backwards from there. Nothing was a surprise. Food and drinks: They offered a fully stocked bar with amazing cocktails. The food was amazing, I only wished I could've ate more! Teresa even packaged up my food for me to take home (although I totally forgot to grab it). She did this for many of my guests and family and everyone enjoyed their leftovers. She was extremely mindful of any food allergies or diet restrictions (we had 2 vegetarians). We chose the Basmati Rice Buffet; however, because one of our guests had a nut allergy she switched the coconut rice for potatoes with parmesan and fresh herbs (delicious!), and we had chicken and added steak bites. The event house provided the utensils, plates, and napkins. It didn't feel like they were nickel and diming us, which can often happen when planning a wedding. We did need to provide our own dessert plates and forks, although the venue could have provided some at additional cost. Teresa also had recommendations for other vendors that she works closely with, which helped us find our DJ in such a short timeline. Decoration wise: They provided a chalkboard sign to let our guests know where to enter/whose wedding it was. There were some basic decorations they provided (bowls and fake tealight candles), but the beautiful exposed brick walls and wood tables didn't need much more decoration to make it beautiful. The handiwork Teresa and her husband did to bring out the beauty of the venue was amazing. We only added some bud vases, flowers, and fairy lights. The dance floor may be a bit small for some but for our group we aren't much dancers so it was nice having it smaller to feel not so empty. The bar was close by and people could easily get more drinks (we did a ticket system - 3 tickets/person). The beautiful summer weather allowed us to open the garage door, but people could easily go outside to the courtyard if needed to get some air. This was a wonderful venue, and I am so grateful for all the work Teresa, her husband, son, and staff did to create a special night for us. Photos by: Josselyn Peterson Photographer

We had our staff holiday party here, and it was such a wonderful venue. The location is beautiful and perfect for a group event. The South of the Border buffet option was enjoyed by all and accommodated any dietary restrictions. We are planning to hold next year's holiday party there again!

Teresa and the whole Tamarack crew helped us host the perfect company holiday party this year. This family-owned business is clearly operated with pride and careful attention to customer experience. The venue has so much charm and amenities that make the opportunities for an occasion here endless. I highly recommend Tamarack, and I can't wait to have another event here in the future!
